I have this TV, and is pretty good. There are a few things missing, which will hopefully make an appearance when it gets marshmallow.

If recording you can't watch anything else on live TV, and there is no PiP viewing.

Don't do what I did in getting rid of my Fetch TV thinking this TV will replace it fully.

Kodi functions on it well and I've not found issues at this point, except for wireless access which stopped working at one point and I haven't tried it since the latest software update as I've got it cabled in right now.

    • If recording you can't watch anything else on live TV, and there is no PiP viewing.

buy yourself a PlayStation 3 PlayTV

yes people downvote me for giving a guy an option that for $5-$20 tops will give him both a HD dual tuner that can record two shows at once and watch one at the same time and works with Kodi out of the box and even intergrates the EPG into it seemlessly.

      thanks for the downvotes

that's fine, majority of people that don't understand something do it anyway

      • No issues with the suggestion, but I had a Fetch TV and wdtv live already and wanted to simplify the house a bit.

House simplified, but for the moment I've lost some functionally because I didn't do my research. Bring on Marshmallow update to the Tv.

      • Do you have a link with some info on getting the PS3 PlayTV working on Android?
Does the Kodi combination support MHEG5?

  • Darn - looking for a 65" - I wonder if the equivalent is also on sale (or if anyone can point me towards a comparable 65" one… been pretty quiet the last 2 weeks in terms of TV bargains)

    • Would be clearing before 2017 models, the previous month is generally the best time to get a TV IMO

      • When if this? June 2016?

  • Thanks for posting this, really considering this TV.

I just called Sony Kiosk Parramatta and they said they can even throw in free delivery with this deal.

  • How does this compare with the hisense (price difference about $300)?

    • +1

Faster processor on sony for navigating smart menu and apps
Faster boot times sony 2 seconds hisense 20ish
More premium apps and able to do some games
Hisense3 yr warranty vs 2 years on sony 1 yr + 1 acl

      • Thanks - looks like a good buy at this price then.
