Two Missing Orders: BangGood and GearBest

So I made two purchases about 2 months ago, a phone car charger from Banggood (late Dec) and a watch from Gearbest (early Jan).

Neither item has arrived, so I'm just seeing what people think.

I've never ordered from these sites but purchased due to upvotes implying deals were good.

Unlucky with two lost items? I'm kinda paranoid that Auspost delivery staff may have stolen them (how unlikely is this?).

Anyway, just looking for some answers / suggestions - have contacted both sites already and notified them, they told me to check post office which I have with no positive result. Frustrating!

Cheers

Did you pay with paypal? If so put in a paypal dispute on both asap.

If not tell banggood and gearbest you will be disputing the credit card charge and follow through if they don't offer a quick refund.

    Have you contacted them?

I contacted Everbuying in the past about an item I never received. They said to check the PO, nothing. Told me to wait for about 6 weeks, still nothing. In the end, they resent the item and it arrived in 2 weeks.

I recently filed a warranty claim with Banggood. Took a while to get where I wanted to, but in the end, I had the item shipped back and they refunded the shipping fee. The item costed $20 but I wanted a pair of earphones that costed $30. I asked if they could send that out instead of refunding me and I'll cover the difference. But they went beyond that, send the item out and said not to worry about covering the difference.

Things get lost in the transit process, it's normal. If you're contacting them, be polite and courteous all the time. I found Banggood and Everbuying's customer service pretty good. As long as you don't treat people like shit, they will help you in the end, even if it's a long process.

People steal shit all the time but you can't assume that the Auspost staff is bad. It could've been lost in the transit process. I wouldn't be surprised with the amount of things that go missing ever year.

And remember that English is not their first language. A lot of them have trouble expressing themselves correctly and come off as being rude.

  • I have never had a problem banggood apart from them not having an item and they refunded me no problem.

Banggood has a Rep here so maybe PM them - banggood - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/64690

+1 on good experience from banggood. waited 40 days for an item, nada. Emailed them, refunded the next day.

Received the item in the mail a week later, told them, paid them for it, no dramas.

A lot of people including a few people on OzBargain (me included, x4) seemed to have lost orders placed around December last year. Initially I thought it was just the Christmas rush and Chinese New Year and a backlog, but it turns out they never arrived. With Banggood, I merely told them it never arrived, they refunded me the next day and I was able to re-order items I wished. The re-orders turned up within a few weeks. It happens from time to time and refunds/replacements are generally a painless process. I suspect it is due to something like a container filled with mail falling off a container ship at sea, seeing they were all coming from one lace at the same time. Either that or there was a very organised and selective thief working at Australia Post.

    • Same, I lost about 2 things and I ordered around December as well. Went through customer service, a rather long process but no worries, the items were re-shipped and arrived on time.

    • Same i lost about 3 packages from different Chinese sellers. That is around the same time that shipping company went bankrupt.

It's also been discussed previously here.

  • Orders I placed with BangGood in mid December have started arriving this week.
    12 weeks transit
Orders I placed with BangGood in January arrived in February.
    3-4 weeks transit.

  • I have ordered something from banggood on the 15th of December. Item arrived yesterday…

  • Ordered at the start of Jan17, after 6 weeks emailed them and they sent another.
The replacement arrived 2 weeks from my email, and funnily enough, the original arrived the day after.

Banggood is reliable site. I had purchase from them more than 7 items and only one order from last December was lost. I am sure that Auspost delivery or sorting staff had stolen them.In this case just inform Banggood & they will refund or resent to you.

  • About Gearbest I have not purchase from them.

What I know is most of the parcels send during December from oversea are Very easily lost.
WE should raise up this issue with Austpost.

Hi, I have had the same experience with Banggood.. that was the only negative vote I have given any store ever. Here's my earlier posts..

I haven't received my power bank, Paypal closed the case saying it was delivered, the seller wants me to claim it from Auspost and check with my neighbours. They won't provide a photo of the signature on receipt.

Tried a chargeback through ANZ, they don't do a chargeback for non delivery apparently ! Only if its an unauthorized transaction.

I'm trying to get it from Auspost now.. still no sign of the power bank or my money !

Banggood = "Sorry we can not refund your order that we sold you that is on backorder until you close the paypal claim" BS, not scamming me.

I will never buy from banggood, gearbest & nevereverbuying again. I honestly don't know how you guys can be bothered. I understand your saving money but at what cost 4 - 6 weeks of waiting only to be told to check your mailbox or the post office. Then the back & forth with emails with people who's second language is english & PayPal comes to the rescue after they tell you to keep waiting until you can no longer put a dispute in. Never wasting my time again.

  • Purchased on the 28/12/2016… still waiting. Have emailed to ask what the hell is happening here. I understand cheap means lacking postage.. but 3 months is a joke.
