    This is basically a Freemium game with a price tag, judging by the reviews.

    Any game that slows your progression / requires grinding, and encourages you to spend real money to proceed faster, should be free.

      No. I have purchased the other titles in this series without purchases. It did not feel like grinding. There is a significant emphasis on strategy.

      Only if you want to play the other heroes available. Can definitely finish the game on all difficulties with the standard heroes you get.

    This is one of the most funnest mobile games I've ever played. This entire series is great. You do NOT need to pay to beat this game at all. There is no grinding, the extra content is just something that you can pay for if you want to be over powered and face zero challenge. You can beat the game fine without it.

    Highly recommended, and I bought this game years ago full price.

          @Playin97: Yes I'm Australian. Using an Android Samsung Note 3 and the play store. I have been getting all the discounted games that others have been posting on ozbargain without issue. For some reason it keeps coming up as $1.99. In the past (long time ago) I have experienced some issues with downloading any of the plus 7, sbs etc TV apps saying it's not available in my region. I've tried a VPN and tried many recomended fixes but to no avail. I bought the phone from Kogan brand-new years ago and I believe it's a grey import so have suspected that might be some of the issue. I have thought another reason may be the fact that I first setup my Google account while based in the US. Who knows lol. Bloody frustrating.

    Great game, I got it free from Amazon ages ago along with Kingdom Rush Origins.

    The origin Kingdom Rush was better but not by much.

    The only con about this game is that the devs haven't updated the app with new contents and the extra heroes may not be worth buying because the included heroes are enough to beat the game.
