Thats a great price for Corona's. Nice post!!

  • nice spotting!

Just watch out for close best before dates … although if your drinking corona you probably dont care about the quality of your beer ;)

    • Beer doesnt expire. Ever. Seriously. It will taste skanky after a while, but it will never go bad.

spend a bit more and buy a beer with some flavour :)

Sometimes Corona does serve a purpose. Easy drinking on a lazy arvo

      Exactly what it's for :D

    • Such as? - Beer with more flavour im refering too

I find Amber/Golden ale to be a lot more interesting. Then there's your Guiness or some people prefer something a bit more bitter, guess you could go for the Cooper Sparkling.

I'm generally a fan of the golden and amber ale's. Been meaning to try some others but trying to keep beer consumption to a minimum.. until summer anyway ;)

        • mmmmm….love the golden ale…….

  • just a question do beers have expiry date?

edit: silly me didnt read the comment above…can i assume they have old stock that are going out soon?

  • pretty average price for the johnny walkers

  • +1

With the volume of stock that Dan Murhpys turn over, I doubt this would be old stock. These guys would sell Corona and Peroni by the pallet load on a daily basis.

It is not uncommon for them to have a 3 day sale on certain product lines.

  • I would go for Peroni.

PS, beers do have a best before date. The fresher, the better. Also, beers keep much better in dark glass bottles as beers are very vulnerable to UV.

    • depends on the beer, you'll notice on coopers ales they have a 'best after' date

  • It's a good deal in theory, but I'd probably rather drink my own urine than Corona. Not dissing the poster, because it's a reasonable deal, but just being a beer snob.

    • It's okay if you just want to get pissed. Can't be drinking fancy beers all the time. Corona would be good for quenching a thirst. Wouldn't have it with dinner or anything though..

    • lolz i vote u do a blind taste test

  • Boags prem at $37.95 and Stella at $34.95 at dm Brighton. Both good prices..

  • i actually like coronas…but i am willing to try others can anyone suggest which? the one which is on special and get the most vote…will come back home with me tmr…!!!

    boags prem? stella? peroni?

    • I have never tried Corona. I dont know how good it is. but my favorite is Toohey's Extra dry platinum. It is crisp and taste real good. I dont like too much bitterness as in Victoria bitter. Heineken is
Anyways, its my personal opinion and can vary.

  • Normally it's $44 for a case of Corona I think. Less than 10% off

  • Most specials I see on peroni and corona are 49.99. So 20% off a usual special is a +1 for me

  • I have to show some solidarity with my beer snob brothers. If you're gonna drink tastless lager, ice-cold with chunks of fruit in it - then why not at least buy Australian? We have plenty of over-marketed disgusting piss beers brewed right here at home. By all means throw your hard earned money away, but keep it in our economy. Come on Aussie!
