Nintendo Switch Neon or Grey + Zelda Breath of The Wild $495.20 Delivered @Dick Smith \ Kogan eBay Store

540
CYBER

Original 20% off Selected Tech Stores at eBay Deal Post

So, I'm not going to insult you and pretend this is as good as the deal already posted, that is however sold out!

Although this is originally at a stupid price, with the 20% off it becomes decent! Only $495.20 for both the console and Breath of the Wild. RRP is $469 for the console and $99 for the game. Cheapest you could get this bundle at launch was $519 through Big W.

Perhaps the best part is, they seem to have the Neon console in stock, which no-one seems to have.

Couple this with the 1.3% back with Cashrewards and get it for $488.77.

Neon Console
Grey Console

UPDATE: The neon console has now sold out.

UPDATE: The grey console has now sold out too.

Me too! Botw is making it very hard for me to get and work done.

    • +1

love mine too and its only getting better!

      • +1

Ya the region free eshop made it even better :)

You can switch to any region on the fly and grab some games early too! Disgaea 5 from the jp eshop is in full English :D

Me too, played around 7 hours on a flight yesterday (used my Xiaomi Pro power bank)
It was the most enjoyable flight I've ever had as I'm usually a bit of a nervous flyer.

        Woahwoahwoah, WOAH.

There was a HUGE article adn reddit discussion on being unable to run a Switch from a power bank, due to the fact that it charges over Multiple voltages…..

Are you saying this was incorrect? Or you've found a solution?

        I thoguht it neeeded 15v@2A

        • Pretty sure switch can be charged with a power bank. As long as it gives 1.5A it will charge.

Probably those people testing with some dodgy bad power banks that runs lower amp?

        • It charges fine on my QC3 chargers and powerbanks, even while playing. Just slow as anything like 1% every 10 minutes while playing something like Zelda. The switch from memory draws around 10 to 11 watts.

It will only ever use the 15v @ 2A for the dock as built in redundancy just in case the 3 USB ports on the dock are all drawing power as well.

        • @azukay:
          Of course that makes sense.

So like all portable devices the battery is a 3.3v lipo, with a 5v charge voltage.

Brilliant! I just got one at that cheap $382 deal, so I'll grab a power bank for it too :)

what games do you play? we bought ours as bundle with switch 1,2 - sort of interactive but boring,

        • Of course Zelda.

        • I got Zelda and Fast RMX so far myself, I'd recommend the later if you want a fun racer that gives a bit of Z-Fero nostalgia at the same time.

        • Zelda and Snipper Clips. I'm waiting on Bomberman R to arrive from Base and I'm also playing the Puyo Puyo Tetris demo from the JPN store, that's a instabuy for me when it's available in English.

        • @Where's_That_Cake: thanks guys. would you mind to share how much roughly you pay for the games? $500 console $80 per game is pretty steep.

        • +1

@eatwell365: I had a really good trade in deal, got a switch and Zelda for my PS3 and around 25 games that I had picked up on bargain tables.

  • would be great to have deals on accessories (:

    • Unfortunately none of the accessories go any cheaper than what Big W + Target were doing them at launch. They end up very similarly priced though. Would love a discount on an extra pair of Joycon though, for example! Holding out for the charging dock to be released too, would love a second one for the TV in the bedroom.

      • I'm holding it til Arms is released. Hoping they will do a pairing.

        • Oh, that's a good thought. You think they might do an Arms + Joycon bundle? That'd be a good idea!

        • @Lockdude:I hope so, it will be the first game released that requires 4 joycons to play with 2 players.

        • @Lockdude:

Well it makes sense to you and I and a whole heap of fans.

I have my doubts that Nintendo is thinking the same way.

  • Why is the original price $619?

    • I have no idea. Dick Smith inflating it? RRP of $469 + $99 = 568, maybe they're incorporting shipping into that price as well? Still seems pricey though. They could of even inflated in knowing full well about the discount. Hard to say. The old Dick Smith apparently used to do that a bit.

    • Almost definitely to account for the sale/delivery i would think.

    • It's pretty much standard practice now that when there's an eBay discount code promotion, the prices go up.

    • Perhaps they typed $519 wrong?

  • Does anyone know if Dick Smith provide an invoice for this showing the original $619 or for the updated $495.20? I'm hoping to also claim TRS so if it's listed at the full amount I may be able to claim the TRS for that. Fingers crossed…

    • +2

I believe that Dick Smith/Kogan will not have a GST value shown on the invoice as it will be shipped from Hong Kong.

Someone who has purchased from them may be able to confirm.

    • Surely you can't get more GST returned than you actually paid…

  • with the $382 console only deal, the combo should be like $460 tops.

at this price you might as well just go into bigW and get the combo for $519… no waiting, no potentially dodgy grey market console with questionable warranty? are they even selling Aus consoles?

    • That's what I'm thinking. Super long delay for delivery to Perth as well. Only downside is no access to the Neon by the looks of it (if you're after that).

    • The Switch + Zelda combo ended on the 15th….and they ran out of stock of Zelda ages ago so no one could get the combo…now they are offering the Switch + 1/2 gam for $499.

  • Can't wait for my limited edition mario universe switch! Oh wait, yes i can wait 😁

  • My switch has left Joy-Con desync issues. Even after disconecting the controls in the system menu and pairing the controls again. I followed the "HOW TO FIX LEFT JOY-CON ISSUES!!" video in youtube. But it did not help me.

    • Same here. Certain angles or having my legs in certain position mess up the sync. I've found moving closer to the switch helps but it is quite annoying.

      • I just picked up a new remote from target. That one works fine. Guess its just the orginal console batch that had the desync problem.

        • I exchanged my Switch and the issue is gone. Hopefully I won't have any more issues.

    • If you look up a Youtube user "Spawn Wave" he opens the joy-cons and shows why the problem exists. Also fixes it with a ghetto antenna mod, but I would just return the joy-con if it came to that (thankfully mine are fine)

    • Check some of the ones that Nintendo recommends. If that doesnt work, tell Nintendo and have it sent back for a replacement.
Make sure the system is at the front of your desk setup or somewhere not covered maybe. System has the sensor bar built into it and advanced motion and whatnot.

  • Grey import?

Also, where do Kogan get off charging $619 (list price) for this bundle when the individual pieces don't add up to that much? The Switch itself is $469. They are charging $150 for the game?

    • Because typical ebay coupon discount encourages massive inflation on all sellers

  • Is the power plug at Kogan import an Australian one?

  • All gone.

    • Thanks, I've updated the post. The grey console is still available if you are interested, though :)

      • Nice, they added more stock.

  • 2 in stock now.

    • Thanks, but gone again already :) I suspect this deal is best left expired until a significant amount get re-added!

  • I order one of these bundles back on the 16th March. Order has been delayed twice now and isn't being dispatched till around 4th April. Anyone else having issues getting their console?

    • Got the same email before..

      • Sorry to hear that, you too @poidav. I wonder what's going on? The shipment was always scheduled as later though on the initial product.

        • I'm going to take a stab and say that all these consoles are going to a warehouse in Aus after being shipped from Hong Kong and there is some delay in the shipping process there
