If people would stop buying these 1366x768 PCs then maybe manufacturers would stop making them. Stop encouraging junk products even though they are inexpensive.

I could have been pursuaded for 1366x768 a couple of years ago, but in today's spacey Bootstrap world you can't really use that anymore. A ~$230 >FHD Chinese tablet convertible with keyboard has more use.

That's a good price for a 7 series i5. My eyes aren't as fussy as some - Maybe I'm just getting old.

It's the screen real estate that's an issue for me. Of course the sharpness of FHD is great, but my main issue is that you can't fit enough on the screen.

It's true I like fat bottomed girls too!

    • After using 4k TV and a 4K laptop, I think I would struggle to go back to even a FHD screen. I have a 24" FHD monitor and I can see the pixels now, and text just isn't that crisp or nice to look at. But, at a good price and on a 14-15.6" screen it probably isn't so bad. I agree that 1366x768 shouldn't even exist though, that would look atrocious by today's standards.

If you wish to upgrade the LCD screen yourself (and probably void the warranty) you can get the 01EN100 replacement part from laptopscreen.com.

Although, the shipping is a ripoff and you'll end up paying $110 AUD after conversion anyway, so you might as well pony up the $121 for the screen upgrade from Lenovo.

  • I think the screen is for extra $131

T460 is nice machine, but this doesn't seem like great price. I picked one up recently for $999. It came with a HDD though which was promptly changed but also came with 4G, win 10 pro and 3yr warranty so was a better deal IMO.

Yeah I agree. I think T460S $1000 from a few months ago is still the deal to beat. Grays Online had a couple of T460 around $600 but with HD screen.

  • Not much of a deal for T460

    • HDD though, pretty much equalising those two offers

      • Yes. Showing examples to support my comment that this deal is not much of a deal on the T460.

    • 2nd one is a T460P. More grunt but noticably chubbier, with a big battery lump and a big power supply.

  • I would love to see a good deal on the T460

  • e470 is a great laptop for the money you're dishing out (i have one), but price hasn't budged since the last offer when kaby lake was still cutting edge tech.

    • How heavy and bulky is it?and how bulky is the charger? I'd like to purchase one for uni (software engineering) so i need to a relatively light weight laptop that I can carry everyday.
