RIEDEL Vinum 8 for 6 Viognier/Chardonnay @ Myer $134.98 Delivered

70

Not a bad deal at $16.87 a glass. Various people may have access to corporate bonus buys websites etc where Myer gift cards can be bought for 10% off, further reducing. If you think another glass such as Gabriel or Zalto is great which I have seen in comments with other Riedel posts, that's great but please add price comparisons with your comments. Aldi $2 glasses or whatever price they are, well thanks for looking. Hopefully this will help someone out that wants some nice quality product or nice gift.

Got some for 99c at Ikea last year…

      Good story.

I am using Zalto Bordeaux at the moment. Beautiful glass to look at and use. Extremely thin edges and stem so have to be cautious when washing. Got mine for $60 each at wine house. Shipping about $15 so I bought a pair.

usually swig straight from the bottle saves on washing up

    • Increases your washing and cleaning bills though!

Do you have a corkscrew or just smash the neck against the table.

      • As if an ozbargainer would buy wine sealed with a cork.

(Actually why would we buy wine in a bottle in the first place?)

        • Yeah, you're correct. He would just position himself below the tap on the cask and pour it straight in.

  • Price increased to $179.97?

    • 25% off when added to cart.

  • Is it alot better than the $2.99/glass from ikea?

    • With all respect, if you had to ask you don't need to know.

      • Think this was a serious question. I certainly wonder what the rationale behind them being so expensive is. Feel free to ignore or enlighten me & lycos.

  • Lovely glassware but to steep for me, if you smash glasses like we did I'd recommend Symphony "break resistant" 8 pack from Costco, had nearly 12 months and all still in 1 piece!
