Dyson V8 Absolute $665 Delivered @ Appliances Online eBay

440
CAU5

Combining the appliancesonline price of $700 with the CAU5 code brings this down to $665.

Not sure how many left or how long this will go for, but that's the cheapest I think I've seen this for?

please please please don't forget CashRewards. I did, again.

    • Great point. I'll edit

      • Can you combine cashrewards with other cash back programs?

        • I don't think you can.

    • +4

If you use Chrome, download the extension it's saved me many times of nearly forgetting to use Cash Rewards

  • Thanks op!

  • Noob question, will this thing work on either carpet or hard floor? If yes, I might need to grab one. thanks heaps.

    • The absolute should have multiple heads that are designed for hard floor and carpet. Have a squiz on the dyson website.

    • Yes, one head which is great for wooden floorboards, and one multipurpose one which is great for carpet.

  • damn too late its back AU $849.00 Buy It Now

for those that live on the edge and want to save further:
    - Buy full price from TGG for $899
    - Invoke 30 days Price Guarantee and claim 120% of the difference (as partial refund, do not accept store credit, or do as you wish)
Total outlay is $660.20 if successful.

Can backfire spectacularly though, hence the edges.

      Will backfire spectacularly though*

30 Day Price Guarantee only works for "bricks and mortar stores" only i.e. not online.

      • Uhm, no.

        "30 Day Price Guarantee*
To apply online for a 30 Day Price Guarantee claim, the claim must be lodged within 30 days of the purchase date and evidence of the approved Competitor’s lower advertised price must be provided at the time the claim is made…. 30 Day Price Guarantee claims can be made in store against local competitors by providing a copy of the purchase docket and the local competitor’s advertisement. The local competitor must have a physical store within 30 km of the relevant The Good Guys store at which you have made or collected your original purchase.

        • ONE neg? really? ONE! I thought I would have been sent to the doghouse by now.

        • +1

Yeah but does "Appliances Online" have a physical store within 30 km of the relevant The Good Guys?

        • +1

Not sure if you didn't bother reading, or I'm getting trolled. But you're asking the wrong question here bud.

As of now, TGG can still refuse any claim, on the ground that Appliances Online's Ebay store is not an eligible store. And Appliances Online official website, still show the price of this unit at $849

  • Thank you ! Bought 1

  • Someone just bought 5 !

    • +1

Guess you will see them in gumtree soon 😂

  • Thanks - bit the bullet

  • is this the cheapest its been?

    • It is cheaper than the last time I bought from 20% Bing Lee Ebay offer.

  • how is absolute different from the normal one ?

    • +4

I think there are only two other models in the V8 line: the V8 Absolute Plus ($100 more) and the V8 Animal ($100 less).

Usually, Dysons in the same series, whether it is V8, or V6, or Cinetic Big Ball, etc, differ only in the tools and attachments they come with. The actual unit is identical apart from the coloured top.

For the V8 series, the Absolute Plus gives you around 10 tools, the Absolute around 8 tools, and the Animal around 6 tools. (I may be off by the tool count, but the order is the same - the shop.dyson.com.au site will list all the options.)

So, you could just get the cheapest base unit in the series and you're essentially getting the same thing without the extra tools, which you may or may not ever use anyway.

However, Dyson tools are exceptionally well designed and if you do use them, they'll do their job very well.

  • Got one! Thanks!!

  • Thanks! Got 1!

  • Has anyone found a flexible hose extension attachment for the Dyson v8?

I can confirm that the v6 attachments do not fit/work.

  • Can someone, just as a community service, explain to me why anyone on a normal kind of income would pay close to $700 for a vacuum cleaner?

Doesn't have to be long. I'm happy to be persuaded.

    • Dyson is the Apple of Vacuum cleaners, you get to show people you own a Dyson!

    • Try an electrolux and you will know why…

    • same reason why kids that don't even earn any income yet, still balling around with mobile phones with $1500 price tags

  • Out of stock :(

  • Anybody else order & have a despatch date for early May??? That's a fairly long time to wait!

Been waiting for a good deal on the V8 so thank you for the great pick up OP.

    • Was coming here to ask this. My dispatch date is May 3 from the appliances online mail and original ebay mail, which I guess is just the ebay estimate delivery date, is Apr 10.

    • Looks like mines getting here today even though they had a May delivery date

      • Hopefully same applies to me

  • Anyone know how to remove the vacuum smell?
