[TinyDeal] Non-Delivery Fiasco - Anyone Receive Updates?

A downside of negged deals are that they lack exposure to the rest of the website thus allowing store issues like this to go unnoticed.

For those who are unaware, apparently no-one has received their orders from early February for Xiaomi pen from TinyDeal. In addition to this, the Store Rep: Torben and customer service honestly haven't given two shits about the whole ordeal.

It's been two weeks since they promised me an update on the shipment(less efficient than homing pidgeons), how have you guys progressed in your responses/refunds/chargebacks?

Update 10/4: Chargeback was successful, NEVER buying from TinyDeal again!

Good luck with your chargebacks.

  • I also have not received, tracking shows it left factory then just nothing

    • Ridiculous, my tracking code just links to a broken page.

      • Try the tracking number on Malaysia post website

  • i ordered the same time as the deal,
have not received the pen but used the tracking number which says that the item arrived in australia about 1 week or so after ordering then nothing.

emails tinydeal and they say customs blah blah and promised to send a new one, that was last week lol

    • At least they're considering sending you a new one, my support representative literally doesn't care at all - just copy and pastes the exact same bullshit "We have asked the post office for help, and the report would comes out later." It shouldn't take 3 (profanity) weeks to realise something is wrong.

Just want to slap them across the face, worst customer service i've ever come across.

  • Tinydeal usually takes anywhere from 60-90 days from my past experience.

If you order over a certain amount however, you get super fast delivery via free EMS. I'm not sure if this deal is still around as I haven't used their site for a while.

  • Same situation as you guys here. The pens arrived in Aus like a week after leaving the warehouse, and then nothing for nearly 2 months now.

I e-mailed TinyDeal about two weeks ago and they tell me to wait another 20-25 business days - I told them 'no' because I would not be able to lodge a PayPal dispute if I waited that long.

I lodged a PayPal dispute, it's progressing really slowly. I even had to attach "evidence" that I didn't get the item, like what do I do there, take a photo of my empty mailbox? I ended up taking screenshots of this thread and two other threads on OzBargain, hopefully they'll accept that as evidence (seeing other customers not receive their items).

    • What pisses me off is that they completely ignore my demands for a refund + I haven't received any update from the bank about my transaction dispute.

They should be banned from Ozbargain tbh, they're crooks - i'm inclined to believe they never shipped the items to begin with.

I escalated to a PayPal claim because the seller, TinyDeal, made no effort to even resolve the problem. This is clearly impacting multiple orders on here, from the February deal on Mijia pens, with TinyDeal communicating that the orders arrived in Australia over 2 months ago. AusPost may be slow but it doesn't take that long even when they lose packages and have to locate them. I wouldn't mind if the seller was transparent about their postage methods. If I knew that the item would not arrive in 3 months, I would have purchased from another seller. TinyDeal should be suspended from this website until they improve their service.

        • Update: I received a full refund from PayPal.
However, they didn't charge the seller (TinyDeal) for the transaction. This might be due to the tracking number they supply. It shows partial delivery (items arriving in Australia in February) and they may not be able to verify whether it is fake.
Due to the incredibly poor customer service from TinyDeal, I won't be gambling with them again. I've purchased from many other Chinese companies (Aliexpress, DX, BangGood, GearBest, GeekBuying, eyc.) and they have always tried to resolve issues whenever they came up.

    • I even had to attach "evidence" that I didn't get the item

Did Paypal specifically asked you to provide evidence of non-receival, or was it an option to provide?

It's usually the sellers responsibly to provide proof of shipment eg. tracking number.

      • I had to provide evidence of non-receipt, otherwise my claim would close and no action would be taken - that's pretty bs, and sadly I don't have a screenshot of that requirement (the page updated with a comment that a specialist is now reviewing my "documents" and will get back to me by April 21…really?!)

So the seller has a tracking number, and all of us here have a tracking number too. We can all see that our parcels arrived about a week after we bought our respective pens; but it has been well over 2 months since then and some people haven't received them.

        • The evidence needed for non-receipt would be just the tracking number. That along would be sufficient for Paypal to make a decision.

        • @lbsyc: Yeah I don't know what they wanted then, because both the seller and I had already declared the tracking number first up in the claim.

        • @divineiniquity: I've always had the impression that PayPal chargebacks were straightforward.

Did you send TinyDeal an email for evidence of them admitting that the product wasn't received?

I just attached the invoice, a screenshot of the website stating a 6 week delivery time, TinyDeal's reply + the 2 links to the Ozbargain posts with fellow customer complaints.

Bank didn't ask for further evidence - tracking number etc., I honestly thought the dispute had been ignored.

        • @divineiniquity:

          We can all see that our parcels arrived about a week after we bought our respective pens;

So the tracking showed that the parcel was delivered? (Even though it wasn't)

If so, that's probably the reason why PayPal required more proof of non delivery from you. I just recently filed an item not received claim too via PayPal. No evidence required from my part, only seller. Sellers evidence was tracking, however the tracking actually proved it wasn't delivered, thus I won.

        • @Ughhh: Sorry, to clarify, the tracking number showed that the parcel arrived in Australia and that's all that is shown. What happened to the parcel after reaching Australia is not tracked (I think).

Update, just had my claim approved for a refund! Never buy from TinyDeal again folks!

        • +2

@divineiniquity: Now if only the mods would lend an ear and ban them from the OzB…

  • I've received nothing as well, despite TinyDeal advising stuff was shipped 07-Feb-2017

And TD's tracking number on Malaysia Post website reckons Arrived Australia 14-Feb-2017

Their support is woeful, stock reply saying wait another 25 business days

Seems my only option is raise non-delivered issue with Paypal

Agree TinyDeal should be banned from OzBargain - they're certainly banned from my future purchasing

    • After a month, they never followed up on their promised update on the shipment. They're 10000% thieves and liars who do not care at all about their customers.

A lot of us have already got our money back, gl on your dispute :) I'll ask the mods again to ban them.

    • definitely go with Paypal, got my money back after 2 weeks, still better than useless TinyDeal CS

  • I tried TinyDeal customer "service" first, to give them a chance to deal directly with my non-delivery

They offered me 100% refund as TinyDeal points

I declined, suggesting they could re-send

Their response (sic) - I guess 'ew' means 'we'

"our post office insist the package enter your country on 14 February, but your post don't make it delivered to you,
so they refuse any resend or refund, then ew could just give you this refund suggestion,
    hope you could consider it"

Pretty freaky to blame Post Office for their intransigence, so I raised non-delivery dispute with PayPal

Having never experienced a PayPal dispute before, I spent fair bit of effort wording my initial issue for PayPal, luckily saved the text

TinyDeal's first response was pretty much an identical copy & paste as their first direct response to me

And their second response was to quote Malaysia Post tracking that package arrived at Australia 14-Feb-2017

My final response was copy & paste from my original, referencing this thread, presuming issue with package label or integrity if their website is any criterion

Email from PayPal last night, 4-May-2017, case resolved in my favour

Although pyrrhic victory after 3 months of frustration, at least it sends a message to dodgy vendors

    • Glad to see a lot of us were successful with our disputes. I suspect TinyDeal has lost a lot of customers after this whole ordeal :)

  • +1

I've written this in the original listing thread, but will copy here for completeness. Glad most were successful in the disputes too.

I was shocked to have a small package arrive today, the pen and 3 refills finally turned up!

    Timeframe:
    5/2 ordered
    7/2 posted
6/4 I've sent a message to them asking what's going on, reply was to wait a further 25 business days and then make further contact.
    17/5 received order!

Did contemplate a PayPal dispute over the weekend, but didn't get around to it.

Still I'm not a happy camper with this mob and will be very hesitant from dealing with again in the future.

    • Interesting… perhaps there is still hope that the rest of us may receive I guess a "bonus" in the coming week. The monkeys at TinyDeal never even followed up after supposedly contacting AusPost so it's hard to tell whether they sent the orders in the first place.

Now i'm wondering what really happened? I guess someone at AusPost found a large box of our orders and decided there were too many pens to keep for themselves.

Also are you sure it was from TinyDeal and not from another order from say, GearBest?

    • +1

LOL mine arrived in the mail as well, awesome!

      • Damn! I got shafted then - had to pay for the privilege to wait! lol

I'm glad people are starting to get them. I do wonder if the order was re-posted out, or like you've said before, did AusPost find them and decide to actually post the 'PC Accessories' to us.

        • Who knows :) At least everyone should be getting theirs, despite not worth the wait, it's a pretty good pen.

  • I just remembered this as I purchased a pen from another vendor having never received my first one… I've just put my PayPal claim in, never received, contacted them a couple of times but kept getting "wait 25 days". They should be banned.

    • I asked the mods to ban TinyDeal but they wouldn't. All we can do is neg their deals.

      • Ha, they've just replied to my PayPal dispute saying that there is a delay in postal services and they're very busy, and it should be no more than 4 weeks late, and I should expect some delays when ordering from overseas.

        It was ordered in February!

        • They're complete fools, that's for sure. My dispute was completely resolved by my bank, hope yours is resolved soon.
