  • Great machine!

The pixie has $70 cashback or 95 coffee credit

We bought the same Pixie machine two years ago from TGG and with various discounts and bonuses it was about the same price. We gave the milk frother away (literally) after about two months, too messy, too much cleaning up, easier to pre-heat milk in a microwave for lattes and cappuccinos ('experts' please ignore). The machine itself has never missed a beat in two years of daily use, highly recommend .. :-) .. !!

    • I use the milk frother almost every day. It does require a clean after every use but it's Teflon and most times only requires a rinse and occasionally a wipe with detergent.

    • Same here (mostly) with the milk but the difference between microwave and frother is significant if you can be bothered, especially with the coiled insert.

  • how does the pixie compare with the prodigio?

Pixie has frother on separate power point. If you drink coffee with milk most of the time, get the prodigio as the whole thing needs only one power plug.

Personnally, I find the pixie better looking.

  • Note if you don't need a frother then you can pick up the Nespresso Breville Citiz from Myer for $129 and get $40 cashback or $65 coffee credit. Both the Citiz and the Pixie are good machines; I own the former and my daughter has the latter, and both work equally well. The only advantage of the De Longhi is I feel the non-stick coating in the frother is slightly superior. YMMV

  • Pixie machine, made in NON-China.

  • What's the purpose of the flap? It can't be a kickstand. That thing shouldn't need one.

    • changeable if you get bored, or design
