I need to find a good deal on the DJI Mavic Pro Drone, i missed out on the Kogan/Dick Smith deal for $1359.20. Can anyone find any deals out there?
Edit: I am going to the USA in 2 weeks, would it be cheaper to buy it over there?

Mmmm I do know someone in China who can send it to me. How good is Chinese postal service?
Postage is not a good option as Australian customs will charge you GST plus fees. What I meant is someone buy in china and bring it to Australia in their luggages.

Buy it at full price with a credit card that has price protection (e.g. 28 Degrees, Coles…). I bought a Phantom 3 a few months after they were released, 6 months later they had dropped by ~$250. A short online form later and I was credited the difference. Mine was bought on a 28 Degrees card so it only applies for 6 months after purchase, next time I would use the Coles card as it has 2 years coverage. That would have been $500 or more. You'll be out of pocket for the difference until then, but it's worth it if you are in a hurry.
Hmmmm that's an interesting idea. Can you give me a link to that Coles card? I tried looking and I couldn't track down the one you have mentioned…

I got my card more than a year ago and the conditions and incentives were a bit different then. Might be worth giving them a call and ask them about the current state of play. I know you have to opt-in if you want it, you get charged 1% of your balance per month, but that equals $0 if you pay your card in full each month. I've never paid a cent for the insurance, and have made hundreds of dollars in claims (on the 28 Degrees, but they are both run by Latitude finance).

I bought my Mavic Pro drone via a friend in China. If you know someone who will go to China for a holiday. Ask him/her to buy it for you. The price in China is RMB6499, about AU$1250.
