Not bad for Bluetooth headphones.
As always with Bluetooth headphones, the midrange is way to low and there's a bass overload. Not bad if you have in built EQ on when you're using something like Spotify. Connected quickly and easy to setup, literally only a press of a button. Other then a bit overpriced, it's great if you just bought an iPhone 7 and don't want AirPods.

Dr Dre has a pair of these as he is an industry professional

It's the BIG W boffins who wrote that up, could be an intern, a Friday job or someone who is quitting tomorrow.

      • It wouldn't be written by Big W. It would come from the manufacturer/distributor as part of product marketing kit.

Audiophile and bluetooth should not really be used in the same sentence. Unless you are forking out a fortune.

    • Even then, due to Bluetooth having limits in speed etc they shouldn't be used in the same sentence.

      • +1

        It's all 1's and 0's isn't it?

Like Monster cable vs Kmart special speaker cable?

        • +2

Bluetooth compresses the audio, so it becomes lossy.
Comparing a cable to a cable and a cable to Bluetooth isn't the best comparison.
Wired can transmit faster than Bluetooth, try transmitting a file through Bluetooth vs copying to a USB and you'll notice a huge difference in speed.

That said, your average Joe wouldn't notice the difference, but the description states 'audiophile', but compressing the audio and losing quality isn't what most would call audiophile level. It's like comparing MP3 audio to FLAC.

With all of that said, if you like it, then by all means, buy it!

          @BradleyDS2:

Self-described "audiophiles" are idiots who wouldn't know Nyquist Theorem from a Shannon limit.

Bluetooth can handle megabits per second, so raw CD data even. Of course the sampling process used by CDs is lossy itself.

For a the classical music aficionado who can hear SBC artefacts, FLAC over bluetooth is hard to find, but aptX will do the job.
Blame the codec, not the medium.

    • $49 is a fortune for some.

      • Its only around 16-24 eneloops. Im sure many of us have a lot more than that.

        • +9

Since the Eneloop drought of 2016 after Dicky's went under, 16-24 Eneloops is a lot now-a-days.

I thought they were just being sarcastic ^^

  • In all seriousness though, my entry level Sennheiser wireless headphones recently stopped working, will these be adequate for watching TV / light gaming? I understand I'll need a bluetooth transmitter to plug into the TV 3.5mm socket too.

    • +1

Should be fine. You sure your TV/STB/gamebox does not support bluetooth?

      • TV no, it's a 2012 Panasonic plasma, the Xbox One may however, but it's much easier to run everything via the TV, considering I watch/listen more via it (HTPC setup).

        Cheers for the feedback.

After posting that I read that xbox-one has removed BT headset support. (it worked on 360) Sad.

  • Why do these headphones have a Nespresso logo ?

    • NFC, not Nespresso.

    • To tell its compatible with the nespresso coffee pods silly.
