Saw this on RSPCA's Facebook page, AFAIK the QLD branch rarely discount adoptions, usually its RSPCA VIC that does it.
Fostering option maybe also available?

THIS WEEKEND ONLY all adult dogs and cats at RSPCA Queensland Adoption Centres will be available to adopt for just $50!
Some exclusions may apply.

      All animals in RSPCA Qld care have been thoroughly health checked and temperament tested before being offered up for adoption. They are all desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, worm and flea treated and are looking for a second chance at a happy and healthy life

      All the above for $50.

      With coat color and temperament being the individual adopter's preference, there are probably other cat shelters in Brisbane that can be visited on the same day (and cheaper) but the treatments above being extra costs.

      Did a search for keyword 'RSPCA' in 2016 out of curiosity, there have been free adoption days for NSW, WA and VIC but not QLD.
      Searched deals for RSPCA QLD and last similar deal was a year ago in April, same $50 price
      On 15/1/16 cats were $20 dogs $99 at RSPCA pop up store in Southbank.
