Looking for a Basic Laptop ($300)

hi all

I'm looking for a basic laptop for someone who's traveling from overseas without much time to wait for a great bargain.
brand doesn't matter much, but will need at least.
14" screen
250gb ssd
4gb ram.

cpu doesn't matter too much as long as it's not one of the very old and slow atom.

any decent deals around in oz?

  Have you got a price point?

  Do you have the skills to a install a SSD?

    Can install an SSD, no problems there.
    I could even do down to a 12" screen and 128GB ssd like some of these deals

  That Dell offer is probably your best bang for buck, it seems to come around every so often so unless you need it immediately I'd hold off for that

  best bang for buck laptop at around the $300 mark is easily that dell that is always popping up… just wait for the next ebay sale ;)
