Two Piece Combo at KFC - $6.95 (2 Pieces of Chicken, Regular Chips, 375mL Drink)

1150

At KFC, you can get two pieces of chicken, regular chips and 375 mL drink for $6.95 by asking for a '2-Piece Combo'. It's been available for a long time, but it's not usually listed on the menus so I thought I'd post about it here for those who don't know about it. There's no expiry to this offer, as far as I know. I'm not sure where it's valid, but all the various Sydney stores I've been to have had it when I tried ordering it.

Seems it's priced right? Where is the bargain

    • +14

From recollection, it's the cheapest meal with a drink and chips that you can get from KFC and it's not advertised. For those who weren't aware of it, they'd have to get a 3-Piece Box, which is a fair bit more ($10.95), so at $6.95, it's good for those wanting a relatively cheaper meal who otherwise wouldn't have known they had this option.

You can get the Burger Combo Deluxe with a zinger or original fillet burger, regular chips, regular potato and gravy and 375ml drink for $6.95. It used to be a shop-a-docket deal but you can still get it using the Xpress app it seems.

I didn't know about this deal though so thanks for sharing

        • +1

Thanks Mate, didn't know about this!

        • @Maxdax:

For real. Isn't this cheaper than just buying the burger??

        • @LoopyLou: not sure what you are saying? I just thanked Forenti as I was not aware that I can get burger combo for $6.95 rather than spending 10.45 for the Zinger Box which I buy every second day. What did I do wrong?

        • @Maxdax:

Hey mate I was agreeing with you and wondering doesn't the burger on it's own cost $6.95 or more? So this is an awesome deal.

        • Thank you so much! I paid $6.95 for "dinner for one" a few days ago after reading your comment, and "value savings: $12.45" - that 65% off my solo dinner!! :)

        • @ilikedeals: Which store did you order it from?

        • @FowlParliament: I ordered this multiple times already - KFC Weatherill Park, KFC Newcastle, KFC @ Stocklands, KFC Tamworth… Initially I got told "we don't have this, we have a 3 piece combo" but then after the manager comes in they select the Dinner-for-one option without any issues. Have tried to show shop-a-docket screenshots but the ones on the website show non-NSW stores, so that wouldn't work

        • @ilikedeals: Thanks. KFC Darling Harbour claimed they didn't have it.

      • +1

you also get a dinner roll and slaw/pot gravy with a 3 peice, so your comparing apples with oranges. Plus what your advertising for KFC isnt a deal- its regular price

          You're* isn't* it's* piece*

I don't normally comment about these things, but this was appalling.

It was his piece de resistance…(forgive my lack of French accents, I'm too lazy to recall how to do them on a Mac)

@Jaystea: I agree, it was just terrorable ;)

        • +2

          @Jaystea: Appealing* ;-)

        • You also used to get a dinner roll and potato and gravy with a 2pc feed.

This meal reminds me of my high school days

        • @strangeloops66:

Mais oui bien sûr. Ce n'est pas mal.

        • @strangeloops66: Hold down the character you want accented for one second, and you get a list of options.

          "e" gets 7 variants: è é ê ë ē ė ę

Which begs the trivia question, how do you get repeating characters on a Mac without repeatedly tapping a key? 😊

        • @Member 0230:

èasy péasy…indebted to you, good sir!

  • +1

It used to be called streetwise combo in QLD but last time I tried this it was $8.95 so I stick to validation codes, $2.50 large chips and small gravy and $1 chips on the app

  • +24

You can get a 'dinner for one' (what a sad thing to order) for 6.95 which comes with 3 pieces of chicken, potato and gravy, coleslaw and a dinner roll. I personally swap out the coleslaw for chips (free).

    • Wow, now that's cheap

    • -2

Pity, the coleslaw is about the only thing with positive nutritional value.

      • +10

you mean the sugar syrup with bits of cabbage and a spec of carrot?

      • +6

No one eats KFC for the nutritional value.

        • +3

What you talking about brah, I hav dat stuff on da daily to get my protein fix cuz, gotta get dem macros in brahhhh

        • +3

          @montorola:

yeah brah its got all your essential oils

        • Lots of protein, and saturated fats for my arteries to enjoy.

        • @klownz: … Bruh

        • @steveclassy2:

          Brah… what up

        • @klownz:
gotta get dem macros in bruhhhh

      • IIFYM, son.

    • no drink though?

    • +2

That would be a good meal to keep the coleslaw and use the survey promo for a free drinks and chips

    • I can't see this anywhere. Do I have to ask for it..?

      • It's originally a shopadocket deal but you might have some luck in ordering it without the voucher
        https://www.shopadocket.com.au/brands/kfc

        • Exactly. Tried the other day in Melbourne Swanson st and they asked for the coupon.

    • Can confirm, went and ordered this yesterday after seeing your comment. And holy heck yes it's cheap, $7 for 3 pieces, and I much prefer having colesslaw to chips.

    • Got told its voucher only

    • Is it available in QLD?

    • Which stores have you tried ordering dinner for one from?

      • Tried at Hornsby NSW today and was told there's no such thing

  • All I can think is this (listen close when it starts) https://youtu.be/9QK8g_NAUSo?t=1m37s

  • It may not be a bargain so to speak, but it IS good value for money.

That's enough for an upvote in my book.

As a member of the KKK (KFC Konnoisseur Klub), this deal makes very happy.

    • +1

Why would anyone neg you for that komment? Did the KKK initials frighten them? I'll never understand you humans.

  • mL not Ml

    • That's what I typed, but OzBargain overrides whatever capitalisation you put to capitalise the first word of each letter. If you look in the description, you'll see that it retained my original capitalisation of "mL".

      • Typo – I meant "the first character of each word".

      • You know, just ml would also work, you don't have to capitalise the L when it is in mililiter.

      • You don't have to accept the auto corrections.

  • I always buy the 2 piece combo, This deal has been there for years, previously used to be $5.95, was raised to 6.95 about one and and a half year back.

    • You guys are lucky, it's 8.95 now in Brisbane!

  • This is normal price. It's available via the xpress app.

  • What is this XPRESS app people talk about?

    • Its a mobile ordering app, where you can order/prepay for orders (Its pretty much McDonalds Kiosk's On your phone). The beinfit is that there are some great specials on the app

      • Didn't even know maccas had an app either.

And I can't remember the last time I ate fast food.

Actually I now remember - I had McDonalds in Amsterdam last year!

        • maccas don't have an app, he was talking about the in store self service touch screens.

        • @Matslurpee: Yep, think of the McDonalds Self Serve touch kisoks where you can pay at the kioks on card or pay at the counter

  • Do the survey on your receipt and get a free chips and drink at your next visit. Repeat ad infinitum or until you get sick of it, whichever comes first .. :-) . !!

  • I remember when this used to be 4.95 :(

    • I remember when you had to catch your own chickens for lunch (actually I lie).

  • Has anyone tried this in WA?

    • Same question here. Have you already have a go in WA?

  • A Real ozzy would buy a Whole chicken at Coles or Wollys for $10 , drink is free since waters free, chips can be done easy as well for cheap

    • $10? Whole cooked chicken is $7.90 in Vic Woollies.

    • $10? someone is out of touch with supermarket rotisserie chicken prices.

  • I like and use this deal all the time! Here's my usual hack:

    2 piece combo, then substitute:
Apple Juice (free substitute at KFC, unlike other fast food places)
Shaker Salad instead of fries (free substitute!! That's a big price difference, but of course, only if you like it. I don't like the fries at KFC anyway…)

If you did the above, you will get a receipt that says: total $6.95, total savings, $6.90. Almost 50% off!

    • Fries are only good when you ask for extra chicken salt otherwise it will taste bland

      • Gotta love KFC for free swapouts and extras. HJ as well! :)

Fk Maccas and jacking up their prices and no freebies

  • My friend has been doing this for years. I didn't think much of it as negotiating what appeared to me as an expired offer, without a coupon seem way overboard.

  • Thanks! I find the three piece box can be a bit much considering i love their chips and always upsize.

Note: Town Hall (Sydney) always have Hot n Spicy and those chicken pieces are so much bigger.

  • +1

Don't get the "Two Piece Feed" like i just did. I paid an extra $2 for a dinner roll lol
Two Piece Feed != Two Piece Combo

    • Dinner roll is 95c

  • Is there a 3 piece meal similar to this?

  • Step 1: Order this
Step 2: Swap the sides for Potato & Gravy + Coleslaw OR Potato & Gravy + Bread Roll
Step 3: KFC Feedback docket for free Chips and Drink
    Step 4: Profit???

  • Thsbks just ordered a 2 poece combo!

  • i notice on the app since the latest update today, the price has risen to $7.45, can anyone confirm its the same in store? looks like alot of the prices on the app have gone up by approx 50c. Maybe they are charging a surcharge to kinda make dodgy extra $$$, it would be a clever scam since alot of people would not notice.

    • +1

I can confirm that this is $7.45 in NSW most likely nationwide price bump.
