Just tried booking a Sheraton in Norway and a Marriott in Sweden as well as a Holiday Inn in London. As stated in the terms and conditions, some hotels are excluded. I guess the major chains are out. I'll get my 10% equivalent in the 10 night thing anyway.
Ended up sucessfilly booking the Lake House in Daylesford though.
As compensation, I estimate that Cashrewards and 1 free night are worth approx 12% discount. Note some hotels do not count towards the free night accumulation.

I am guessing that the 10% off excludes taxes, and sometimes using a code will exclude you from Cashrewards. Still a good post though!
