  • Thanks! needed a few of these!

  • thanks! good for a spare

  • Can purchase more than one, thanks.

Their MicroUSB cables were terrible, bought 5 and binned all after a week. The cables are extremely thin, picture is a little misleading. Two stopped working/had troubles after only a few days, rest I just throw away as the voltage drops over only 1m are insane.

    • Purchased last week at $3. Received yesterday. Works just as good as my original Seagate cable on my HDD.

      • Are they extremely thin? Maybe they've upgraded the design a little.

Overall these may be okay as spare cables you can throw around, but the MicroUSB ones (intended for charging) just didn't get the job done. For use with external media they may be enough.

        • Slightly thicker than the original, and about 2.5 times the length.

@tightarse: I assume they've changed design then. The microUSB cords I received were the thinnest I had ever seen.

@dyl: Ye, I have no idea in all honesty. Just spewing I paid $2 more than this deal lol.

Yeah, I purchased 3 of their microUSB cables also, all died within a week or two of usage. Absolute rubbish. Hopefully, these ones are better.

They must've cheapened them over time. I'm using a Kogan USB 3.0 hub I got a while back and the included cable is pretty fat.
I know it has more conductors so I'm not saying it's the greatest as I don't know, but looks thicker than even the picture here. That's what she said

  • thanks for posting. bagged one.

  • Thanks OP ordered one

  • Missed opportunity to call it USB-B

  • Thanks op! Great find

  • Thanks Op.
Will come in handy over the 45cm WD supplied cable.

    mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, rubish

  • Convenient after getting the Toshiba 2GB portable drive (CHOCCY) with a cable too short for me :> Thanks OP, getting 5 because I am a filthy addict

Also the extra bit can help hold the cable in ya (compatible) phone if it's getting a bit loosey goosey :)

  • That picture looks suspiciously like the ones they used to supply with those 1TB Netac, ahem, Kogan hard drives.

  • Oi these look to have different micro usb connection than standard for mobile phones?
    Thes be used with mobile?

  • I received this in the mail a few days back and these seem to have a major flaw - they don't work properly when connected to a USB 3.0 port, especially on Windows computers. These cables work completely fine when plugged into my MacBook Pro Retina but when you plug these into a USB 3.0 port on a Windows computer, my wireless keyboard/mouse immediately stop responding and the drive keeps disconnecting/reconnecting. It works fine when plugged into a USB 2.0 port though. My original Western Digital cable has never done this and all three Kogan cables I purchased have the same problem - so it's definitely something to do with the cheap cable itself.
