What Ozb Purchases Made You Think "Why The Heck Did I Buy This Again?"

And why? Just interested to hear some buyers remorse for some not so well thought out purchase decisions made through this website.

The two that come to mind for me are for basically the same reasons:
Portable Inflatable Sofa Single Inflatable Sofa Bed Beach Lazy Sleeping Bag US https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/275060
And
Broadlink Universal Wi-Fi + IR Remote Controller US https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/246373

Neither were expensive, but when they arrived, I had a realisation that I had zero use for either, and stuffed them away in my cupboard as fast as I could. The air couch especially made me question my buying habits, as I was flailing about trying to inflate the damn thing.

The IR blaster could be useful (for use cases that I don't have), but the proprietary app was awful and the IR blaster wasn't particularly reliable and consistent, which kind of defeated the point in my eyes.

  • Steam Link + Steam Controller…

    • hah, same. I didn't buy the steam link, but the controller might've gotten about 5 hours of use before it got stashed in the drawer. My Xbox 360 wired controller still feels better.

    • I didn't bother with the controller, but did pick up the link. It's been used once in about 10 months. I think it will come in handy one day…..

    • Seriously? I've been considering getting a steam link so I can stream stuff to the TV without moving the PC. Why don't you use it much?

      • Quality and input lag even on wired connection. Pc -> router -> steam link

May tweak the settings to see if it'll improve :)

        • Please let me know if it does. Been keeping an eye out for a deal on the link but if it's as problematic as it sounds I might pass.

  • Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash for the 3DS.

The amiibo had more value than the game itself.

    • I played a Chibi Robo game on the original DS, and it was surprisingly addictive. Don't know why they made it into a generic 2D platformer.

Where to start.. I am sure I would exceed the character limit …

  • Cheap VR Headset from dd4, I feel ashamed to look at it..

    Multi tool business card https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/90293
Sure it cost bugger all, but I've never felt the need to use it, let alone put it in my wallet.
Funnily enough somebody also gave me one as a random gift recently, maybe they came to the same realisation

I took it on 4 flights before someone noticed I had it in my wallet.. I had completely forgot.

I too would say that the multi tool card is one of the most useless things I've purchased.

I've stopped buying useless shit on here
I'm just here to comment and give negs

  • Robotic vacuum cleaner. Total waste of space and money :-(

    • Which one did you get?

I've had a Neato for a few years, and like it, but unless you never leave anything on your floor, the hassle of preparing the house to run it almost outweighs the benefits of using it.

  • Blitzwolf smart charger.

I bought it on the promise that everything was going to charge a lot faster. Never did with my old phone, nor does it with the new one.

The only good thing is it charges everything at the same time when traveling.

Other than that I can't have it in the bedroom as I can hear the bloody thing when connected.

  • Eneloops (ex. qty 100)
