  • It doesn't seem to support DLNA? Mentions apps - Panasonic have a terrible history of leaving software half finished, before dumping to move to a new model.

Bought a panasonic smart tv some 2.5 years ago. It received updates for about half a year, and nothing since. So that sounds about right.

      • At least their other trait is positive. That is, your hardware, design, and build is top notch.

        • Yes, and prices aren't bad for what you get.

    • No DLNA on this base model. It only has a few web apps: Useful ones are Netflix, iView, Quickflix from memory. I have one so can check if you need.

I got one for the mother in-law a year or so ago for Netflix in the bedroom and it worked well. I then got one for my kids room the last time Gray's cleared them at this price. It has worked well since.

If DLNA is important, then see if Gray's are offering the model above, it has DLNA and 3D as additional features, I kind of wish I did last time as it was not much more expensive and would have been handy.

EDIT: Last time this deal from Gray's was on OzBargain https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/288066

  • This is good if you just need a cheap player. The OS is archaic, and no WiFi. I feel like anyone who is knowledgeable enough to have a data cable run to their media area, has a much better media solution already/won't be using this.

  • DVD region locked according to a review here.

  • No 3D?
