    Price Error?

    • obviously

  • +1

    they'll cancel it

  • +4

Based on previous price errors from DJ, they won't honor it and will cancel the order. And you will need to go into the store if you want a refund :)

    • +1

well they can keep my 2 cents if this will happen :D

  • +2

Just a note. These are men's pants. 😀

    • -1

you couldn't tell by the picture.. they are SLIM around the thighs

      • +2

        Table for ONE Sir?

  • OP - where are you collecting them from ? I can't seem to find a store where stock is available for pick and collect.

    • Bourke st. Mall Melbourne

  • +2

Forget it they won't honor it and they won't even refund you.

  • +3

To add to your useless bargain of DJ's price errors - http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/en/davidjones/raw-edge-hoo… $0.01 hoodies that nobody will ever get!

If everyone buys these maybe they will learn their lesson, I'm sure it costs them lots in paperwork and man hours when 10,000 people order these things /s.

    *they wont refund.

    • +1

yeah they told on from the last price error where there was a 2c spoon or plate or something under 5c, they wont even refund it.

    • +1

      *they wont refund.

mate they will refund if there is a paypal dispute involved :p

      • +2

That is what I did to gave them some work to do.

        • -1

how are you even bothered over 2c…..

        • @tuzii:

Ha Ha not that hard just did it with paypal.

But they still won't learn a lesson.

Because stores like David Jones shouldn't be allowed to trade if they can't follow consumer laws and instead choose to act like pricks by allowing website errors that waste people's time. If enough people file PayPal disputes this would hopefully result in PayPal being pulled from their offering and the costs to David Jones affecting their online division which they clearly spend nothing on.

Online sales in Australia are a total disgrace with most retailers investing nothing on their online presence especially on security.

Ordered four of these showing in stock and just missed a call from DJs saying they cancelled the order and because I paid via PayPal the refund has to be 5c and in cash so in store.

Amazing the audiacity of David Jones expecting people to drive into the store to receive a cash refund for an online order. Not only is this a clear violation of consumer law but it's also the stupid beyond belief.

      PayPal dispute to be filed.

Another reason who Myers and DJs will never succeed, Amazon would have either fulfilled the order or given a $20 or more voucher to make up for this. Myers and DJs are pathetic, how hard is it to enforce minimum values and flag possible errors for review before they are published? For David Jones clearly impossible.

      • Precisely the reason why I gave this post a neg vote.

Funny how they know there is an issue but they're still online available for 1c - better luck in store.

You did get fair warning to not purchase, though now you get 1c if you request cash refund :)

    Here we go again.

No duffle bag, no pants, no soup for you all!

Some code for DJs IT department: IF < $0.10 THEN display:none

    • MVP here

    • Some code for DJs IT department: IF < $0.10 THEN display:none

Better logic would be the discount percentage cannot be outside the norm for the category unless it's marked as clearance and signed off by two levels. Plus a heap more for other discount types depending on products and an exception report on a regular basis of all products discounted outside the norm. Also immediate alerts to on call staff who can deal with any issue immediately if large volumes of products are being purchased.

This sort of logic is easy to implement especially the alerts which can be via third party reporting tools and it's pathetic that David Jones doesn't implement this.

  • Just got 2 of these for $0.02 :-D

    Wishful thinking.

  • I ordered a pair just to see what happens. Maybe get 1 Amex point.

  • +1

Dont waste your time will get cancelled

  • Plus vote because it's a good bargain, albeit one thaf cannot be fulfilled.

I think negging this is not in the spirit of Ozbargain.

    • +2

How can it be a good bargain if it cannot be fulfilled?

    • +4

      Username checks out.

    • +1

Have a plus-vote for your generous support of lost causes.

      • +1

It's the thought that counts PJC!

  • Plus-voting because OP means well. The neg-votes are understandable and directed at David Jones (not OP) due to previous disappointments.

  • price error bargain should be removed

  • I dont have Arc Legs, but 0.01c is 0.01c

  • The last time they cancelled the orders. I just called Customer Services and she said it's definitely a price glitch.
    So don't bother yourself :) :D

    • +2

I just called Customer Services and she said it's definitely a price glitch.

Why is there always one person that does this and ruins the good deals? Not this deal as we all know the outcome but other deals where the retailers will likely honour the deal there is always someone who has to dob on everyone else.

Did your notice that the products are still available, their staff cannot do anything and they don't really know if it is a price error or not.

      • +2

Price errors are wonderful … when they favour me. Almost everybody's order was cancelled on https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/302628. But I suspect they would have taken my $32.75 for Gillette Shaving Gel. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4612064/redir

Amcal should have honoured that deal, they wouldn't have lost a lot and they should have used it as a learning experience that they should have checks and balances.

The discounted price could been picked up by a simple check that runs a few times an hour during business hours and a few times overnight and after batch changes and the high sales should have been picked up within ten minutes and alerted an on call staff member.

But nope they'll refund everyone, waste everyones time and cost their business a heap of goodwill. I haven't and neither will I forgive Discount Drug Stores for losing over fifteen months of credit card details and lying about what happened. Retailers that so this deserve to be hit with substantial penalties. They claim to be PCI compliant but how did they lose fifteen months of card details if they weren't storing them in plain text on their web server?

But I suspect they would have taken my $32.75 for Gillette Shaving Gel.

I have no doubts this would be the case.

        • +1

Do your best to get this deal my friend. Don't give up!
You could also try these out as well ;)

They know which products have a price error for at least three hours since they cancelled my order but the products are still available to purchase which is another breach of Australian consumer law.

It's a shame the ACCC are so utterly incompetent.

I don't want the deal, I want companies like David Jones to be taken to court for their constant illegal actions. The more people that purchase these the more likely that the ACCC will take action. David Jones shouldn't run an online operation and neither should Myer, they can barely run a bricks and mortar company.

Order 3 for $0.03 then cancel it and get cash refund of $0.05. Profit $0.02!

Now that is some proper Ozbargaining right there.

  • Price error, save your time and move on.

    Negged.

With these price errors and keeping the money, DJ's is making more money from Ozbargainers than Scotty is

    • +1

1561 clicks @ 4:05pm, that would be $15.61. Not bad indeed!

  • Anybody get theirs? Don't want to have to go through PayPal chargeback again.

  • +1

Still waiting for update on my confirmed order still. They haven't sent a cancellation email yet.
