  • Which dashcam can record while the car is parked?

    • Take a look at the battery pack accessory - has a parking mode that records when the car is turned off.

The blackvue power magic pro also can do that, however it uses your car's battery power instead of its own power source.
It has a cut off level so it doesn't drain your car battery below a certain point.

    • All of them can if you hard wire it with a switch.

Hey store rep, can you do a deal on the BlackVue B-112 battery pack as well?

  • +2

$180 price difference between a cam with 16GB and 128GB sd card. Yikes. What are you trying to achieve charging $180 for a ~$70 sd card?

    • +1

Blackvue say their cards are special, they contain some magic stuff apparently, and as such are more expensive than the usual cards. Not all cards are fine to use, so although you can buy the 16GB then another non Blackvue card, be aware that the super-fast ones usually run too hot and can fail. Generally you want the slowest Class 10 card you can get, and stay away from Sandisk.

      • Dammit. Do you know roughly how many hours footage 16GB would hold?

      • This is true. One of the biggest cons about Blackvue dashcams is that they are really picky with the specific cards being used. So you cant just use your cheap 64gb Sandisk card you got for $10 from that OzBargain deal.

        • From the reading I did a month or so ago, it’s not just Blackvue and Sandisk, Sandisk have issues with lots of video recording devices. Something again about heat build-up with long periods of recording. They are perfectly fine for short term devices like regular phones etc..but the constant long write times of dash cams kills them. Apparently..

Good price, OP. Been waiting for the DR650S.

    • Ditto. Is this still the best 1CH choice for quality/price/overall?

  • I'm looking at the DR650S-2Ch.
Are you throwing in a free magic power pro like some other sellers?

  • Do the dual camera's with say 32GB cards…come with 2 x 32GB cards or just one?

    • +1

One, the front does the recording, the rear is just a camera.

    • The rear cam does data transfer to the card which is inserted in the front cam.

  • +1

Rep, 19 dollars shipping for 4 double sided tabs is a bit much, any chance of free shipping?

  • Thanks, ordered the Blackvue DR650s-2CH and power magic pro!
