Refurb Twin Tuner PVR w/ 160GB HDD $150

31

Found this item on clearance when looking at the previously posted soldering iron kit. I think It's a good deal considering that it has everything there already without having to attach USB's to record. Able to downstream content to computer for storing etc which isn't as good as LAN but is ok. 3 month warranty only as it is refurb.
Let me know what y'all think.

    It's only Standard Definition :(

    • With the new 7mate being HD only and playing alot of tv shows and movies. Must be the time everybody is dumping there SD boxes in favour of HD STB and PVRs

  • and it doesn't have HDMI.
But I love it for the price so I got me one. Thanks so much to the original poster, this should do perfectly well.
The original unit came with a three year warranty, so the three month refurb warranty should be fine.
    (crosses fingers)

That looks normal for a no brand.

This is a rebadged Supernet unit. Now, the only thing worse than a Supernet is a refurbished Supernet. I've posted my comments about Wintal/Supernet units in this previous thread:

They're crap. Really crap, right out of the box. If you are really, really desperate for a bit of masochism, these same units can be had for less on eBay, brand new. But really, save your money and buy something else. Anything else. You'll be much better off.

You really need more than 3 months, at least 2-3 years on these devices b/c they are just like computers and stuff up for no reason at all. I had that pvr and then next version (HD) and it has been returned to the shop a number of times to fix various faults. Also i think $150 is too much!
