I remember this having been much cheaper.

    • Good memory, see here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/239272

I actually pricematched Target at DJ and paid with DJ GC obtained ising AMEX offer, so got it for just a bit over $50

    • Yes, the previous non-Premium version as linked has been much much cheaper, and currently sells for around $199 I think. Whether the newer Premium version is worth the extra $ will depend on individual opinion.

      • I bought the previous version and have used all its primary functions - it is a ripper. I don't know what this one would do any better than the HD2137, but I'm very happy with it.

  • What is a slow cooker? Can I use this as a rice cooker?

    • yes certainly. However an overkill if you get this just to make rice.

Can I use this to make pop corn?

      Yes, slowly.

  • It has very high ratings and lots of positive reviews.

Do you disagree? Please share experience with this. I pulled the trigger as i was looking for one. Seems to be hightest in terms of quality and reviews. Other in range is breville which i don't like as brand. Always fails on me.

    Still no WIFI?

    NO BAND 28

  • Is it RGB?

    • Yeah but you need the Philips 'RiceBurner' software to adjust colours.

  • Can I use this to make Frozen yogurt?

    • +6

Yep. Fill it with yoghurt and shove it in the freezer. Works brilliantly.

I can comment on the old one. It's absolutely 10/10. We use the pressure cooking function at least 2-3 x/ weeks. Brilliant when you have a baby to look after. Whack in the meat, veges and curry sauce - all done in 20 mins and stays hot until you're ready to eat. I wish everyone had one.

If this new premium is as good as the old one then it's worth getting

I have the old one. about $100 from target. It is absolutely brilliant. One touch cookking, fire and forget. I use it for stews and soups.

  • I bought this on Myers website on 29/4/2017 and registered on 12/5/2017 as click and collect, but today received an email saying my claim for cashback is invalid. Will have to wait for 'cover letter and explanation'.
I don't know what i did wrong or didn't do. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for the cash back. not happy!
Anyone else have the same problem?

    Thanks

    • Strange. I got my cashback yesterday. Also from Myer, delivered to me. What did Philips say was the problem?
