    Manual links please!

  • are you able to purchase from HP online with multiple cards?
i.e. if you want to buy a $1500 laptop, can you pay 3x $500 to get 3x $100 credits?

    • -3

If you have multiple cards then yes, I have two AMEX cards and usually save the same offer on both to use it twice

      • That isn't what ts13 asked though :)

    • +10

No - the HP website doesn't let you split payments. They don't let you over the phone either. I tried last time they ran the offer. They don't sell gift cards.

The HP website is generally overpriced, you can normally get better deals at JB Hifi.

      • Thanks. Yeah, HP Spectre x360 is arguably one of the sweetest ultra books on the market rn, but the Dell XPS13/15 is always so much cheaper, it's hard to justify gunning for it
Even with student pricing via unidays, it's only around 17% off. You'd really need 3x $100 rebates and TRS off as well to make t even worth considering :/

        • Just be careful if you are considering to claim on TRS, as the receipt I got was from China, so was not able to claim it, even though ordered it online from au website

        • @knowwhat:

Just be careful if you are considering to claim on TRS, as the receipt I got was from China

Did you try to claim TRS on it? Can you post a copy of the receipt online (with the personal details removed)?

        • @knowwhat: that's weird. Surely GST has been paid on it, which means that HP must be able to issue a tax invoice with GST stated on it.
Because the products are >$1000, even if shipped from overseas, they'd have to pay GST import tax; and I'd assume that it's a requirement by law that HP issue a tax invoice upon request?

        • @ts13: If they're sold by an overseas company rather than by HP's Australian subsidiary and shipped in with GST paid upon import, I don't think you'd be able to TRS the GST back?

        • +1

          @ts13:
I had bought using the Unidays link, so got an email confirmation from au website but the product came from China with Chinese receipt, printed in English- so technically overseas product.
          Hope that helps

There's also a targeted Cellarmaster spend $120 get $20 offer as well.

    • +1

They sell gift cards too, do you know if they will work at Woolworths?

      • The website just redirects you to everydaygiftcards.com.au . I doubt you'll get the cashback by purchasing gift cards online.

I asked last year about gift cards over the phone … eventually found someone that knew how to do it, but couldn't tell me if the gift card was a regular gift card or just a coupon code to use on their website. Not sure what the status is now.

        • I noticed that too with the redirect. Considering I don't drink wine, I would be in quite a bit of trouble if they decided to give me Cellarmaster exclusive vouchers instead.

    • I also would like to know

      • i don't think you will get credit back.

the transaction detail will be GIVV CROWNMELB SOUTHBANK.

        • thanks!

        • do you know what the entry for online or in-store purchases is?

        • @tonester: CROWN GIFTS SOUTHBANK

      • Anyone willing to be the guinea pig and do a test purchase? If I was near Crown, I would do it but it's to far to travel.

Can the crown gift cards buy chips at the casino?

    • +2

Gift Cards are available to use at participating venues across the complex, excluding gaming.

      As per Crown's website.

      • Can you use it at the timezone arcade place?

        • I'm not sure. One place I do know is the buffet!!

    • No.
It is not Crown Dollars Gift Card.

    • I thought you could could only pay with cash for chips, hence the large amount of ATMs at crown

Does anyone know if there are any consequences to regularly saving deals to your card but not using them?

    • +7

      Hi railspider,

Yes I can answer that question for you.

The answer is there is no consequences to regularly saving deals to your card and not using them.

      Thank you for asking professionals

      Ozbargain
      Turd

        What a Turd

Does anyone know if there are any consequences to regularly saving deals to your card but not using them?

You might get lynched by a gang of OZ bargain hunters, because the offer was already maxed out by the time they tried to save it to their card.

      • +1

        That was my fear.

I usually only add deals I'm likely to use (no Kikki-K here), but was concerned that always adding deals and never using them might make me ineligible in the future.

        • but was concerned that always adding deals and never using them might make me ineligible in the future.

Amex would never do that. They still get plenty of milage out of people clicking on the offer, only to find out it's maxed out.

      • What proportion of Amex offers actually get maxed out? I don't know if I've ever tried to register and found it maxed out…

        • +2

Not sure of percentages, but there has been a few that were maxed out. Westfield and Shop Small constantly seems to get maxed out. Along anything that allows us to buy discounted gift cards; like Dan Murphy's

    • +2

You get ham-ish emails pleading for you to use your registered offers before they expire. Apart from that I have no other evidence of anything happening.

I try not to register for offers I consider "duds" partially so that if anyone DOES want it, the pool will is less likely to be exhausted. However it's mostly because I hope they get the hint the offer's no good (Again: No evidence this is actually happening).

  • +1

For those who are kikki.k members, you can get 20% off in store if you show the e-mail you received. You can also use LOVE20 online but I think it's minimum $50 before you get free shipping.

  • Hm, okay offers if you're buying stuff already from these brands, but nothing great.

  • Crown Gifts enrolment limit reached.
