        You would scan the chocolate, it would appear at the correct price; you then scan the barcode, and it will subtract the price back to $0. It will work for one chocolate per transaction. (Unless they're complete idiots.)

      I don't know how if I will be able to do this, but I'm giving it a shot. I imagine I will scan the barcode after scanning the chocolate bar.

          Nope, it doesn't. You just type in the barcode number, and it comes down to 1 cent. I just got 2 at the Northcote plaza (one at each Coles), using the same barcode both times.

      Don't know why you were negged, you're right in that Wynyard is called a Coles Express. Maybe go to King St or World Square. Think King St used to be an express store but isn't anymore. Sigh, I don't get to go much into the city as I don't work near there anymore

    Tip: I couldn't get my phone barcode to scan in the main scanner but it scans in the attachment scanner for Flybuys cards.

      Whats an attachment scanner? I had the same issue with the Stocard app so I gave up and deleted it, but it'd be neat to not have to lug loyalty cards…?

        It's like a robot arm that sticks out of the side of the main register. I think it's where you are supposed to scan your Flybuys card. Never noticed it there before until today.

      Yeah I kept trying to scan it for a good minute but it wouldn't work so I just entered the barcode in manually. The assistant chick saw and came over after and showed me the flybuys scanner and told me how I can use it to scan the barcode next time.

    Thanks OP. Got 8 lol & you can get flybuys points for them too & if you have staff card & buy something else, you can even get discounts on them & therefore your other stuff get extra discount!

    Eg i bought 1 bar & 1 $1 potato chips. After scanning they are $2, used the staff card became $1.80. Scanned the code & only 80c left so technically i bought the chips for 80c!

    Happy ozbargainer lol
