Are these little one fan cards louder than the multi-fan variants?
It's always going to be a bit noisier but the 1060 is a very cool running chip anyway.
My single-fan SC version is 0 RPM at idle and pretty quiet at load, but this model is reportedly louder because even though it looks the same, it has a less effective cooler (can't recall if it's due to fewer heatpipes, or no heatpipes).
I have the 3GB version of this card and it works well and isn't noisy as far as I'm concerned. My case front intake fan is louder and I wouldn't call that noisy either.
Pretty good price. I have the SC version and I haven't found it particularly noisy.
This is a great "budget" card. Once you're used to it it makes anything less seem like shite.
