Bang for buck gaming cpu since the $236 deal for the 7600 has expired. Still a bit more than the $239 7600x deal from a few weeks ago.
EDIT: Appears the $236 deal for the 7600 is still running. Now expired.

In gaming performance/FPS there's virtually nothing between the 7600x and 7700 but the 7700 is typically a lot more expensive, currently more than $200 more.
AliExpress 7700 is just about around this price
no, Ali 7700 is under $200. AUD that is.
@51ngh: you serious? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/909505
TCP 10% additional cashback brings it down to $194.
no you cannot buy one today, but you can keep an eye on it for the next deal.
Not that good of a deal since its been $238 for weeks and people just sat on it: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/913737
I bought 2, unbelievable value coupled with the 9060xt deal they have for $580
Worth an upgrade from 5600X?
You'll have to buy a new motherboard and DDR5 if you want to upgrade to the 7000/9000 series.
5600x is still a decent gaming cpu. The 7600x (or 7600/9600/9600x - there's not a huge difference between them) will get you 20-25%-ish uplift in FPS using a high end GPU, less with lower end GPU's. You might find this a useful resource: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghZaQ3T0CRg
Would this be an overkill if I want to setup NAS ?
Probably, unless you need it to do transcoding.
Hanging in there for a 7700 deal, either here or Ali
