  • I got the a118c, Haven't had a chance to install it yet. When I bought it a month or two ago the a119 was about 100 bucks, but I got the C for 40. What I want to know is what are you really getting for an extra 60 bucks and more than double the price? a bit better night vision? Slightly higher res that you don't need? Can someone who's tried both comment? In the youtube videos I have seen comparing them people generally say the 119 is a bit better and you should go for it, but that was the opinion when the 118 was going for 80 bucks or so. Now that it's 40 it might be a different story.

    • where did u buy? is deal still on?

I think I got it from gearbest on one of theirs sales, but it was only a few dollars less than Zapals at the time so if no luck check there.

    • There is an influx of fake 118's i have read … just like they did with the G1W-C and it is almost impossible to get a genuine one of those now i have read.

This A118C does not mention Viofo and sells for $49.30 delivered…

      Be careful…

      • Any clear way to check? I can check mine when I get home and confirm

Gearbest use to sell both versions, the Viofo version was only a few dollars more, from the looks of it they don't stock the Viofo anymore only the B40 xywolap linked above. From what I have read the B40 is exactly the same, made at the same factory just rebadged and both use the Novatek 96650 chipset, the fakes use an inferior chipset. So I'd say you are pretty safe if you bought the B40 from Gearbest.

I purchased Viofo A118C from Gearbest and they are definitely genuine as I had to open mine up to reposition the mic (common problem muffled audio) and the chip had Novatek printed on it. Gearbest sent me a replacement so once I fixed the first I now have both front and rear cameras set up for the price of one :)

        • I am not sure Jackson but a search on google for fake A118c should give some indication on what to look for.
Here is a link to one mention on youtube…

    • Ultimately, you aren't using dashcams to produce an artistic film. So long as they record the numberplate and what happened, they are 'good' enough'. Personally, the difference is worth the money, just so I won't be as tempted to upgrade in future.

  • FYI… I just ordered an A119 (not S) + GPS pack + hardwire kit on ebay… $123 delivered.
Zapals have some bad history with non supply so gave this offer a miss.

    • Never had any delivery issues over many Zapals orders.
      But you still upvoted deal?

It is a good deal on a good dashcam… I hope all that purchased get the item without a problem. People can vote + or - on what they like…

Gearbest, way better than Zapals. 0 out of 4 orders with problems with Gearbest, 3 out of 3 problems with Zapals.

.. so ordered 1 from Zapals… 2 months later and still no parcel, so I ordered another one from eBay. (Zapals asked me to wait for 75 days before they will refund, so I am patiently waiting another 2 weeks).

and there are many more … also more on WP too.

    • Received it today… genuine Viofo and it is a "V2" A119. The cam serial # will show V2 in the #.
      6 working days for delivery A+ !

      • Not from zapals … from ebay (goodcoshine4you)

Not sure if this deal is still available but I have been using the A119 for almost a year now and it is an excellent cam. It also does 1440p @ 60fps so you don't necessarily require the S version for this function. You can update the firmware and the developers are very responsive to problems.

I'm going to buy a second one for my wifes car, oh and I highly recommend the GPS version.

  • Anyone know if the one available here for $95 is the v2

  • Just noticed on ebay the A119 is listed at $71.74 with GPS and free delivery!
This is the newer version with the spring connectors. The seller is cn-xiaolan-au Just under $35 cheaper than this post(and this post was the cheapest A119 anywhere).

Also use code C5OZ on paypal checkout and get additional 5% = $68!

Now that is an Ozbargain. I have the A118C that I am now going to use at the back and this A119 will be for the front of the car.

    • Post it as a deal??

      Thanks for sharing btw

    • Could you provide the link?

The seller has 0 items listed.

      • Yeh I noticed that, after this post items were still listed.. I went home to order and seems like seller has pulled all items from store

    • No I didn't have the time to post as a deal.

Geez, the seller is showing zero items listed, that is strange, he have hundreds of items listed a few days ago, also many A119 dam cams. He has said it is posted and good feedback record

Why would he remove all his listings - have I been scammed?

      • Just checked tracking and looks like it is on its way as left China.

        • You will get mostly get a fake one thats it, Good luck
