    1 free rental

    Most likely, it's a $5 credit

    • Some places have cheap Tuesdays potentially >1 free rental

      • Ours was $1, now $2 on Tuesdays…

So 3 rentals for $1 is pretty good value…

    • Yes $5 credit so good for 2 movies today.

      • 2.5

    • It's worth noting at my local kiosk, the last few 1 free rental codes have only been valid for a single rental.

Even if I use the code on a Tuesday when rentals are $2, I can still only rent 1 movie for free.

Where as a month or so ago I was getting the full $5 off, so on Tuesdays I could rent 2 movies, or 3 movies for $1.

I got 3 for $1 today in VIC.

I got 2 for $2 each yesterday with the code.

Adding a B to the front of it should make it work on blockbuster kiosks too.
    Will confirm later.

      Yes BKN23817 is blockbuster code

    • Lol, blockbuster

  • $2 Tuesday at my local Kiosk. Although I think Split comes out tomorrow so i might wait.

Correction - Split is out today + Ben Afflecks gangster film that bombed.

I just got a 'Civil Duty' award from OzBargain. I feel very happy. Been with OzBargain a long time now.

    • Although I think Split comes out tomorrow

      It was definitely available today.

Now I Don't feel so bad about forgetting to take Lion back last night!!

    • Can you use the code on a late return??

      • +1

never had to do a late return. I'm guessing they mean using the code now offsets the cost of the new rental they are getting so effectively and half cost rental for 2 movies. Or the new free rental just makes the late fee fell better for them.

As far as I know the system works like this.
Choose movie, Give Kiosk credit/debit card, Machine records card info, movie is given and count down starts, When movie is returned count days had past 9pm and thats your fee.
I don't think they give you any options for paying a late fee the money just gets pulled from your card once you put the movie back in the kiosk. Also there is a maximum amount they'll charge you something like $30 I think so if you hold it for $30 worth of days then they charge you.

      • Can you use the code on a late return??

How? They just bill your card once it's returned, you don't get to borrow it again.

        • I didn't think so. Only the post above mentioned already renting a movie….

        • @albanyson: The point was that pain and agony of having a late fee penalty has been slightly offset by the remedial benefits of an awareness that should I chose to, I can rent out another film at no cost.
