Looks like a fair enough buy, a 100hz set for under $700 delivered (in Sydney anyway)!

My only advice would be to check out the pixel defect policy for the retailer & manufacturer, some are better than others! ;)

    • Pixels aren't covered under the warranty?

      • Nope, not usually under warranty per se; you've often got a fortnight to contact the retailer/manufacturer for a replacment if it exceeds their policy! That's why the policy is so important, I accept nothing more than zero pixel defects, that's my line in the sand! ;)

Some manufacturers (and not just cheapies either) have some pretty convoluted & specious methods of determining what constitutes a dead pixel; and exactly how many & where they are on the screen or proximity to each other, etc, etc! :(

  • yum cha brand, but tempting price!

    • yeah that was my thought too.
I bought a yum cha 50" plasma (as stated in the original posting) and has worked fine for me… so they CAN be a great buy.
I suppose it depends if you want to risk $650-700 on it :)

  • Wowa… this is by far the cheapest I've seen a TV with these specs. Still wouldn't buy it though. Great to see prices drop.
