The following Cards are not eligible: American Express Corporate Cards, Business Travel Accounts, Government Cards, Corporate Purchasing Cards, Corporate Meeting Cards, Prepaid Cards and any supplementary cards issued on these accounts.

  • American Express Cards issued by licensed network partners

Does 'network partners' include the major banks ?

    • +2

Yes. Westpac, CBA, NAB and ANZ (existing cards)

  • Nice! so I guess American express essential is okay.

  • +1

Already dreading the crowds during Vivid … Looking forward to Vivid Live though!

  • +3

So… Sydney OzB meet up =P

  • +1

Does anyone know if you're allowed to bring plus ones into the lounge?

    • +1

      Yes:

Eligible Card Members may bring 1 guest. American Express Platinum Card Members and American Express Centurion Card Members may bring up to 2 guests, subject to capacity.

  • How much will a drink be? Can I bring my 16 year old daughter?

    • Depends…
Their business model is selling drinks and food so my guess is $5 at least…

      • +2

Try again $10 for a beer.

        • +1

Probably not a good beer either

        • +2

Well with the credit though, you can think of it as 2 beers for $10 based on your estimation.

  • Is this closed now? Didn't pop up in my available offers

    • +1

Highly doubt 100k people have signed up already

    • I registered and received the e-mail saying I registered, but it's not in my offers on my app either.

    • I used the manual sign-up link and registered. Not sure why this won't come up in the offers section

  • is anyone gona combine this with the dimmi amex deal for a date night

    https://www.americanexpress.com/au/content/text/HALO/halo-vi…

Looks alright of a deal.. which restaurant do you fancy?

  • Went to the lounge earlier. You gotta use the old MCA entry to get there and flash your AMEX before they let you in the lift

    • Was it busy? Planning to go tomorrow.

      • Inside wasn't as busy but outside was crowded due to everuone taking photos. Will probably be more busy tomorrow since it's Thursday

    • Thanks mate
They don't sell hot drinks - coffee etc?

Also did you receive the credit.
As others have reported earlier, I saved the offer using manual link.
However, it doesn't come up in the offers section on my account

      • No coffee. The warm sangria is a hot drink.

Received credit on multiple cards registered to the offer. It doesn't come up in offers section on your account even if you registered.

        • Thanks mate. Appreciate it.
          One last question :)

Did they allow split payments on multiple cards ?

        • I only paid for $20 at a time, so I'm not sure. Looking at how they use their POS it's unlikely to allow split payments.

This is the event caterer: http://www.freshcatering.com.au/

        • @forumninja: thanks mate

  • Can I take a friend's family if my card is registered? How are the views from the lounge?

    • You can take one or two guests depending on your card. Good view of Circular Quay and Opera House. They only accept Amex as payment, so you will probably be paying for all their drinks even if you sneak them all in.

      • You can just have view and come out.. if it's not compulsory to have drinks or food there.

        • +1

Then there's places with better views with less crowd if you're not intending on spending time there. e.g. on Cahill Expressway.
