Doom? Really? Wow… I remember paying to see it at the movies, and wishing I'd rather just burnt the ticket and not wasted 2 hours of my life.

Thanks for the list, might have to pick some up!

      • I agree. it was the most wasted 2 hours of my life

      • I saw it; but I can't remember a single thing about it (except that it was pretty boring)

      • I'm a fan of the rock when he was a wrestler, and grew up playing doom on the pc so maybe I'm not the most unbiased movie critic in this thread lol

    • willy wonka?the kids' movie….
      let only it is (Old).

    Thanks for the list!

Such a hassle to browse through all the whole shelf just to find the tiles with the stickers!

  • 2001 and perfect storm !!!

  • great deal

  • Good deal, and especially +1 for typing out the whole list - makes it easy to find deals instead of looking through the shelves.

  • Heat is good. Some other good titles there too, like The Prestige, Hulk, The 6th Day, Into the Blue.

    Didn't see Doom FTW! ;)

Thanks for typing them all up.

Good deal for Blu-Rays but most (if not all) would be DVD transfers.

How many of the 95 titles would utilize the full features of Blue Rays disks?
Can't see a 25GB Blu-Ray disk being pushed to capacity with any of these movies.

    • They wont be DVD transfers, because Bluray do 1080P (full HD). The max DVD go to is 480p.
The blu-rays are probably made from the source films directly (analogue or something), which will produce much better quality playback. I know because i watch blurays a lot…

Australia is a PAL region, so the DVDs were actually 576p.

Nonetheless, Blu-rays are scanned from the original film or possibly a pressing, as were DVDs at the time, and they're invariably of much higher quality than a DVD. There were a few dud transfers when it was all getting started (the original transfer of The Fifth Element was so mediocre that they had to go and do it again because of the outcry), but the kinks tended to get smoothed out as they moved to H.264 and got a routine going. This website is handy if you want to know how good the video quality is for a particular film: http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/reviews_video.html

  • Wow some great movies there. Hope they have them all at my local JBHF
