Will it fit a 2011 17" Macbook pro?

    • Yes. If you google the dimensions of the above Dells you will see they are huge. They aren't small and sleek like the MBP. The Apple 17inches I think were the smaller 17inch laptops

      • Agreed. I think this bag is really for those who have the larger 17" laptops which can't fit in normal 17" laptop bags/cases.

Awesome thanks OP. Just want I wanted.

  • What's the bag quality like? Vs say samsonite or Thule?

Looks like hand grip is not durable - 1:45 @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSsuYkO4Dec

      Good question.

idk on this particular one, but I was very disappointed when I last bought a Dell laptop backpack, Targus-made, but zips failed quickly, shoulder straps went all ropey etc.

      • Without having owned a Vindicator backpack myself, I feel the Alienware brand products typically have been of a much better quality than the standard Dell-branded fare. I have received a few 'free' Dell branded backpacks over the years but compared to what the Vindicator claims on it's features/quality/specs, I think they have positioned this one a bit differently.

That being said, key purchase reason for this backpack is if you have a huge Alienware laptop and realised that it's a challenge to find bags which can accommodate them - even my Alienware 15R3 is too big to fit in most bags.

main issue is it looks too TMNT-style for me

Ended up ordering this! Will post once it arrives.

  • Very happy with the backpack. Has so many compartments and fits the 15R3 with ease!

    • did you get the 17"?

I have a 13" Macbook and wondering if getting the 17" backpack would be too big/better value vs the 14"

      • +1

Yep got the 17" as normal laptop bags won't fit an Alienware 15R3 laptop (it's deeper than normal due to the hinge design).

IMO if you have a small laptop, there is no need to buy the Alienware laptop bag as it will dwarf your laptop. You also probably would get better value from non-Alienware branded products - eg. Targus Seoul backpack (this is what I used to use for my other Dell laptop).

Further, since you have a Macbook, there are heaps of accessories which have confirmed compatibility/fit with your laptop (one of the things I miss about having a Macbook) making buying accessories which specifically fit your device that much easier.
