Logitech G403 - $49 @ JB Hi-Fi

580

Good deal for the g403. MSY is next cheapest at $69, and customer service at JB is great if you have any issues with the mouse, especially compared to MSY. Latest 3366 sensor and an well rounded ergo design fitting many hand shapes/grip styles. Full review here by Aussie gaming mouse reviwer, Rocket Jump Ninja here:(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogzOpkM_ouo). This was previously available $49 when it first came out on promo at JB which is when I got it. Great experience with it and good price for what you get.

Also I don't mean to shill for this rocket jump ninja guy but he has very in depth reviews and analysis of mice, especially compared to some of others online. His website has a top40 and the logitech g403 is currently number 1 for a general safe choice: (http://www.rocketjumpninja.com/top-40/).

  • op. you might want to mention the shop to get it from in the title.

    • thanks a mod fixed it up

  • And that it's the wired version.

I have the wireless version and it is an incredible mouse. Using it in wired mode feels vastly inferior. I strongly recommend paying a little extra for wireless.

Well currently the wireless is double the price for the best price or $149 at JB(rip off). I use it with a mouse bungee attached above my desk on the wall and this set up removes cable drag. If you have the cash go for wireless but I'd still say this is good, the only competitive wireless mice on the market now are the g403 and g900 and the incoming razer lancehead.

      • I got mine for about $90 six months ago, not on special.

It's worth the extra dosh. I stick by my recommendation.

        • +3

This is how I have mine set up(albeit with a bit more slack at the moment) and am very happy. (http://imgur.com/FfRMpud). It is also worth noting the wired is lighter for those fps players who prefer lighter mice.

        • @McCree: That is pretty neat. I'm glad you're happy with your setup.

      • +3

If you're going to get wireless you may as well stretch to $115 and get the g900 which is a crazy low price.

      • Got mine for $51, thanks ebay!

    • +2

I have both prefer the wired cause it's lighter 87g wired vs 107g wireless (yes i can feel the difference).

      • +6

Agreed. I have the wired version and have zero issues with the cable and prefer that it's lighter.

"Using it in wired mode feels vastly inferior" is a bit of an exaggeration on preference.

    • Got my wireless G403 about 3 weeks ago for $90 or thereabouts. It's amazing. Highly recommended.

      • Is it good for sniping? ;p

  • +3

Worth noting that the sensor used is the same one used in the Logitech's flag ship mouse (G900) which is widely regarded as the best in class.

    • Also in the G303, for any left handed users looking or people who prefer that shape.

  • +1

    This or the g300s?

    • +2

G300s is no where near the level of this mouse. However remember comfort trumps all

      • The design of the g300s seems far more comfortable to me. I think this one will eventually get far too uncomfortable to use for me (looks small).

        • edit: Disregard

  • I accidentally threw this mouse away when I did spring cleaning last year, still brand new unopened in the box! Still hurt my heart until today…

It wouldnt be the first time a mouse has found its way into a bin

  • Been using the first gen G400s for 4 years. Got 2, one for home and one for work.

  • But you can get G602 for about $65 shipped to aus

terrible mouse i got lots of interference with it.

just because higher number doesnt make it better.

  • how does it compare to Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury Gaming Mouse?
    Selling for $39 at shoppingexpress

  • The mousewhell on my deathadder just broke and i cant decide between the G403 or the G502 anyone care to comment

    • same here.. mouse wheel on my deathadder broke 2 days after warranty ended

  • Is it worth upgrading from a MX518?

    • At this price i think its worth the upgrade. I went MX518 -> G5 -> G403. I have the G5 still on my old computer and the G403 on my new computer. Happy with the purchase.

      • I am on same path!! Except just before buying G403, I opened my G5 clean it up on every part, then it goes strong and smooth again.

I hope for a clone of MX518/G5, guess G403 is the nearest option for now if my G5 plays up one day.

  • Thanks OP I will swing this above my head like one of those spiky ball on chain thingys

  • I've been looking at replacing my DeathAdder 2009 model so this is tempting.
