Just got an email about early access to the half-yearly clearance. Tried it with a generic browser session and it seems the clearance prices are accessible to the public (they've hidden the promotional banner).

Hits-and-misses unfortunately. I found a few light deals, brand name stuff at lower than Aldi prices.

Lezyne 300XL - $20
ES Fire Fly 100 LED Front Light - $10 EXPIRED
X Tech Striker USB Headlight 300LM USB - $10
SIS Team Sky 3 Hour Fuel Pack with 550ml Bottle - $10 EXPIRED

Delivery is free when you order $100+.

  • brilliant price for 320lm light. I have the Xtech 200lm version and its plenty!

    • Is this one of those painfully blinding SOBs?

I always wanted one or two to switch on only when a billion-lumen cyclist passes me and I can't see shit for even the next ten seconds after they've passed me.

      • +8

The Lezyne are great - they have multiple brightness settings.
High brightness for daytime and trails, low brightness for shared paths, high brightness again just for you.

        • The X Tech Striker also has multiple brightness settings.

      • Good that you can at see that cyclist then…

        • Yep. They're safe, good on them.

And I'm completely blinded on my bike if it's after dark.

In bird culture that is considered a dick move.

Cyclists should be setting the angle of these lights so they point slightly downards and towards the left to minimise the impact on other road users. Having said that I find people driving around the city with their high beams on significantly worse.

  • Those SIS 3 hour fuel packs look like a good deal (buy one get the 2nd half price), so about $15 for 2 packs!

    • Thanks, added to post

    • expiry: tomorrow?

Pity delivery to WA is $15, which is more than an Auspost Express satchel….

    • Same to NSW

  • The NiteRider Mako 150lm/Cherry Bomb 35lm Lightset for $29.99 (down form $99.99) are great value for casual riders as they use AA / AAA batteries and are seriously bright.

    • I ride with a Mako 5.0 front light which I consider nearly bright enough and it's only advertised as 40 lumens so the 150 model should be plenty. The Mako design is really handy too, super-simple quick release and water resistant. I take mine as a torch on night walks.

Yeah, i'm not willing to jump back in and try dealing with Pushys after another sale they had a year or so back.

Short version, they had pretty poor inventory management, and advertised for sale a decent Topeak bike pump, which they didn't actually have stock of. Despite paying for express postage, it still took them five weeks to fulfil the order.

Constant follow-ups, emails, and promises to get it sorted; but had to chase constantly to find out what was going on. No proactive communications at all, even after they realised their mistake.

    • Unlucky.

I've had several orders in two years and all were shipped on the same day.

Ordered 16 items this morning and shipped 1 hour later.

    • I got my orders on time.

I always use Pushys, lots of orders, including multiple warranty issues which were all sorted very well by their customer service. So I have to say I would think that was a one off and not worth the neg, it doesn't even relate to this sale.
I've never had any issues with Pushys, in fact they are up there with the better online retailers in terms of customer service in my experience.

    • I placed an order shortly before writing comment for the Mako light set and some other gear was marked as posted today and confirmed as intransit on Australia Post tracking website. Pretty happy with that.

    • i ve been purchasing from pushys and havent had any issues.

  • These are crazy prices. About 2-3 months back, I paid $30 for Hincapie jerseys they are now selling for $4.99!!!!!

    • .. yep, great price but all sold out though.

  • I will recommend >500 LM, but is a great price

  • I have the Lezyne MicroDrive 450XL.. it's great. But typically set on 300lm on most night rides (decent). Only used Overboost 450lm in complete darkness or paths w/o any light reflectors.

Good price. If you can bundle for free delivery, a bonus.

  • Well this is annoying. Just bought the Lezyne 800XL for $70 at the start of the week to replace my light I lost on a ride -_-

Pushys is great. When I buy something from them at 8pm at night I sometimes have it at 8am the next morning (Brisbane metro). Not sure how that's possible but I love it!

      they use your chopper

$30 for knee and shin pads from a decent brand, that's a bargain right there.

  • I use the 300XL, it's a great front light. Even when I paid twice as much for mine from wiggle.

They have some great deals on Sugoi clothing currently too, picked up a new kit and gloves. Lots of stock and sizes.

  • THEY AREN'T ON CASHREWARDS ANYMORE

    waaaaaaaahhhh

  • Hoping to start riding to and from work some days (30min, dark on way home) but haven't the foggiest on lights. I know that for a certain stretch there will be absolutely no lighting. There are so many options here I am struggling to make a choice, would the $20 option linked be better than the $10? The cheaper one is actually rated brighter.

    • The $20 comes from a good brand. I own a couple lights from Lezyne and they are designed well, with a sturdy metal outer and easy to use controls.
I've actually ordered 2 $10 x-techs, because they have the same easy operation and better battery life. 1 thing to note is the x-tech apparently weigh twice as much as Lezyne. The brightness of both are very good. I have 75LM lights that can be clearly seen 200m, 300m away. These 300LM lights are designed to go beyond "be seen" and actually illuminate the road.

Oh and you certainly need some red lights for the rear, very important for cars to see you.

      • Do they need to be red? I have one that has 3 settings (2 strobe and one constant on) however it's white or blue from memory

        • In NSW backlights have to be red. Personally, never seen blue lights.

          Lights and reflectors
If you ride at night or in hazardous weather conditions, you must display all of the following:

A steady or flashing white light on the front of the bike that is visible for at least 200 metres
A steady or flashing red light on the rear of the bike that is visible for at least 200 metres
A red reflector on the rear of the bike that is visible for at least 50 metres when illuminated by a vehicle’s headlight on low beam

  • Spent $105 on all this:
Troy Lee Designs Panic Knee Guards Black 2015
    2 x X Tech Striker USB Headlight
    Royal Quantum Gloves Black/White 2016
    Sugoi Snowflake Tuke (Beanie) Concrete
Louis Garneau Sleeveless Tri Pro Top Black/White/Ginger 2015
    Sugoi RS Full Gloves Black
Louis Garneau Tri Elite Course Sleeveless Womens Top Black/White 2015
Hincapie Womens Jet SS Jersey Grape/Black

  • May be , yeah may be I am wrong , but reading the comments thru this post feels like it is driven by Pushy - as too many good notes on pushy and pointing to different pushy products promoting em - hmmm may be I am wrong.
