MEL Return Hong Kong (w' Singapore Stopover) via Jetstar $402 (November) @ IWTF

190

Hi all,

Travel sleuthing once again and found this great deal to HK via MEL with 16hr stopover in Singapore (perfect to see a few sights there and have a sleep) flying Jetstar.

The fact that every leg is a Jetstar flight caught my attention and led to me posting the deal. Great time of year too, with the Melbourne Cup at this time meaning for many there is a 4 day weekend, so this would be perfect to add on and can be done with those working.

Flight: (1-7 November) MEL-SIN, (16hrs) SNG-HKG, HKG-SIN (1.4hrs), SIN-MEL. Flight details HERE = All decent flight times.

No VISA requirements for Singapore and HK, and plenty to do at both destinations. Warm/Humid at this time of year, so pack light!

I flew to HK last year for $589 with Cathay with THIS DEAL and for those yet to travel to HK: do it. One of the best places I've travelled. To score SIN and HK with Jetstar (albeit with a bit more airport movement) for $400 is a great deal.

Sydney residents will pay $522 for a similar flight set.

Remember, get $1 price beat at Flight Centre by taking screenshots of the final price like THIS and refer to THIS 'Applies to genuine quotes from airlines' section when talking with the agent in store. Makes the final price $401

  • Of course, you have to buy yourself luggage allowance.

    • I didn't know they started to weigh passengers from those destinations.

The only baggage I generally have from SIN/HKG is whatever food I decide to put in my stomach.

  • Any from Sydney flights?

  • Good price, but Jetstar may decide that "engineering requirements" mean your flight may be cancelled. Got stranded in Cairns 2 weeks ago on the way to tokyo, stuffed my plans
