  • Price beat Jetstar from Melbourne $270 return

  • checked luggage is very expensive with Scoot.

    • $40ish for 20kg. Not cheap at all!

      • Jetstars new luggage prices are probably just as bad, ie $64 for 20kg to Nz + an extra $50 for skis.

Also, the new price beat guidelines are within 1 hr for Asian international flights, no longer 24hrs.

Plus they no longer match luggage if you are pricematching a full service airline.

Booked some fares a little while back…then got spammed on facebook with a 10% off code and now this sale.

    regret!

If you had booked the flights with Jetstar during their birthday sale, you would have saved even more.

This deal to be fair is for those who refuse to take Jetstar or missed out on the birthday sales.

End of the day, doesn't matter, since airfare prices are usually quite close these days. Scoot prices don't usually deviate much (ie. <$50)

      • To be fair I paid $839 all up for 3 people with baggage so not too bad really.

  • Does anyone know, from experience, the risk of not being assigned seats together with the people you've booked to travel with if you don't pay $12/ person for seat selection?

    • +2

On the last 6 trips with Scoot, I have never been paid for assigned seating. But at the airport the check in agent has given me side by side seating without me asking.

      • thanks, very useful. booked flights last week at the same prices.
even though both flights are on the 787, the offering of extra leg room seats was different on each flight.
