    +1! BTW your phone needs charging.

    • +3

      And also BTW I hope you're wearing a jacket, it's cold where you are :)

      • And we also know that OP has an android phone

        • We also conclude that the OP is from Victoria as it's 10 degrees on his phone

        • +7

          @montorola:
          Yep, in Melbourne, have a jacket on, have charged my battery, on a Galaxy s7 Edge :)

        • @shiraj:

          Have you turned off the power sapping location and bluetooth?

        • +1

          @montorola:
          Nope - need bluetooth for my headphones, and need location for Pokemon Go :)

    ON FRIDAY!
    Today is Tuesday.

    • +26

      Yes thank you Mr. Calendar.

  • -6

    You can often get 4 pies for $4 at the supermarket

    • -2

      You can't get ANY 4 pies for $4 just the crappy ones at the supermarket. They all will be the same and They are frozen too. Good luck with that.

      • +2

        There made at the same factory. 7-11 are too frozen and then reheated in a pie warmer

        • +5
          • They're
        • +2

          I meant only regular minced beef pies are $4 at colesworth and that too on special. Here you can get spinach and ricotta rolls(best value as $4 each at coles deli), Steak, Chunky Lamb pies etc. Also these will be cooked not frozen. I don't know about you but this is good value especially now that its getting colder.

    • +16

      Yes I'm sure they taste great straight out of the freezer.

      • +4

        rock hard.

      • -2

        Yes I'm sure they taste great straight out of the freezer.

        Well if you like them straight out of the freezer, go for it… The price is still $1 per pie.

        • +1

          You know people are talking about buying a pie and eating it right away yeah? Where are you cooking your magical $1 pie exactly?

        • -2

          @gokhanh:

          Where are you cooking your magical $1 pie exactly?

          The pies are already cooked…

          Do you think 7-Eleven cook them on the premises ???

        • +1

          @jv: I've never seen a ready-to-eat pie for $1 at the supermarket (and I mean one single pie, not 4 for $4); hell the frozen ones usually cost more for 4 pies unless they are on special. Sounds like a deal you haven't been sharing.

        • -3

          @gokhanh:

          I've never seen a ready-to-eat pie for $1 at the supermarket

          They've all pretty much been cooked these days. To get a freshly cooked pie, you need to go to a bakery.

        • +2

          @jv:

          To get a freshly cooked pie, you need to go to a bakery.

          I agree. I guess you get what you pay for..

        • +2

          @jv: Yes so unless you have access to a oven when you're out and about stop comparing a frozen pie to one you can get already heated up at 7-11.

        • -3

          @gokhanh:

          Yes so unless you have access to a oven

          You don't need an oven, a microwave is fine.

        • @jv: Never tastes as nice as from the oven though.

        • -3

          @gokhanh:

          7-Eleven don't cook them in ovens though…

        • @jv:

          You really make yourself look silly sometimes jv.

        • +1

          @jv: Your comments used to be witty, but they're slowly turning into dribble.

        • -1

          @cdestratis:

          have you thought about not reading them then?

        • +1

          @jv:

          Right, so I'll just stop reading deal comments from now on, logical solution.

        • @cdestratis:

          Right, so I'll just stop reading deal comments from now on

          Ok, so you have problems with comprehension…

          I'll rephrase it for you…

          have you thought about not reading them my comments then?

        • +1

          @jv:

          Ok, so you have problems with comprehension…

          Comprehend this, you spill your dribble on every deal, so I would have to prevent myself from reading all comments.

        • @cdestratis:

          so I would have to prevent myself from reading all comments.

          why are you even reading them in the first place?

          the only reason I can think of is that you like them, either that or you are some kind of masochist???

        • +1

          @jv:

          why are you even reading them in the first place?

          Like I said, some times your comments are worth reading, other times….not so much.

          Now I just read them to see how bad they can get, like watching a house burn.

        • @cdestratis:

          Now I just read them to see how bad they can get, like watching a house burn.

          So my comment "or you are some kind of masochist???" is true then…

          @jv:

          So my comment "or you are some kind of masochist???" is true then…

          It's more for my personal entertainment, but whatever makes you feel better.

        • @cdestratis:

          It's more for my personal entertainment

          which kind of contradicts your initial comment…

        • +1

          @jv:

          which kind of contradicts your initial comment…

          Which kind of re-enforces my original comment about you commenting just for the sake of it, which once upon a time I would enjoy reading.

        • @cdestratis:

          Life's tough… Yawn….

        • @jv:

          Life's tough

          Nah it's not that bad, as long as you don't let people like you drain it.

      • +6

        I used to think everyone was too hard on jv. I don't anymore.

        • -1

          You're welcome to pay twice as much for your pies, nobody is forcing you to save money.

        • +3

          @jv:
          Ridiculous comparison, jv. Tell me where I can get a $1 pie (and not have to buy 4 to get them at $1 each) at that guaranteed price every Friday for the next 5 Fridays that is ready to consume (that I don't have to defrost/cook) with free sauce and is readily available on nearly every block in the CBD and I'll take my comment back.

        • -1

          @ripsnorter:

          Ridiculous comparison, jv

          Not really, hardly any difference in quality.

        • @jv:
          I didn't mention anything about quality. You fail to acknowledge any of the relevant benefits of this deal. False, pointless comparison and continued pointless arguing typical of jv.

          I did

          @jv:

          Did I say you didn't? Geez your comments are a complete waste of everybody's time. Failed to justify your comments; failed to counter any arguments; absolutely no positive contribution whatsoever. My comment stands unrefuted: your comparison is ridiculous.

        • -1

          @ripsnorter:

          Did I say you didn't?

          Did you?

        • @jv: yes you diddly-do-did! (or did you?)

    • +4

      7-11 heats up their pies in a pie warmer ready to serve.

      jv probably heats up his pies under his nut sack on his way home from the supermarket. That way he will save even more money from his very own renewable energy source.

      • heats up their pies in a pie warmer ready to serve.

        I wonder how many days they've been in the 'warmer' before you get to eat them…

      • Reported for bullying jv!

      • +1

        jv probably heats up his pies under his nut sack on his way home from the supermarket

        That's one way to make a cream pie.
        Pie, pie, American pie

        Could go on all day…

        • +1

          Puts on clown nose and cream pies your face . Heheheheheh HONK HONK

  • Fix the date, OP. Use the calendar function to make the first day the deal is available on Friday the 2nd of June.

    • Tried just now but can't for some reason. Mods, can you please help.

    Friday Brekky Sorted.

    • +2

      Pretty sure your digestion doesn't work that fast

      • +3

        You underestimate the power of 7 Eleven "food".

        • Haha used to work there when I was 19 free slurpees and hotdogs at one of them for awhile.

        • +3

          @DaTa:
          are you the size of a 7/11 now?

        • @tuzii:

          Nope didnt eat it that much

        • @DaTa: did they pay you correct wages?

  • Are they all halal? I remember seeing a 7/11 pie with 'halal' proudly written on the front of it.

    • -2

      no, they are halalalalalalalalalalalalalal

    • +1

      What about their bacon and egg ones? =p

    • They have different ones there, don't they? If you're muslim, just check the packaging before buying.

  • +2

    So $30 for 5 pies, 5 sausage rolls and 5 burritos. BYO Sauce and you're set. Now thats what I call Friday lunch.

    • +1

      Sauce is free with any pie purchase :)

      • +1

        Even better!

      • +1

        Paying for sauce is a pet peeve of mine especially when you pay $7 for a pie.

        • +6

          Please hand in your Ozbargain membership if you have ever paid $7.00 for a pie!

        • +1

          @WatchNerd:

          Gourmet pie.

          Very tasty! :D

        • @WatchNerd: I paid $3.50 for a pie once at a servo because everywhere else was closed :(

  • Is this only available through the App?

    Or just a normal Promo?

    • +1

      normal in store promo.

  • Ok. Hold the phone. Does this include the traveller pie? If it does I might lose my shiz

  • -3

    Damn … no jokes about cream pies in the thread…

    • -1

      Pfft - I'm guessing the people that negg'd the comment have dirty minds.

  • Aren't they $2.50 everyday at Coles express? Everyday!!

  • I to am associated with uploaded files

  • does this include spinach roll ?

    • last friday it was for $2.

  • i wonder if the cheese and bacon sausage roll is included? that thing can't be good for you, but boi, does it taste great

  • Can vouch that these are quite good. I'm one of their taste testers.

  • You can also get $2 pies EVERY Friday at Fresh Pantry. It's the supermarket/convenience store opposite Southern Cross (next to a Gloria Jeans) and I guarantee you their pies are better than the ones at 7/11.

    • http://freshpantry.com/menu/

      Meat Pie $4.00
      Gourment Steak Pie $5.00

      Do they have different pies that are $2? Because if there are, I'd travel across the city to get some. I used to work near the Richmond Pie Shop, and I love me a good, cheap pie.

      • It's a Pieday Friday thing. Not sure how long it will go for but it has been going for the last month of Fridays at the very least. So expect it to continue for a few more Fridays!

        • O_O

        • +1

          @ekto: dont bother. none left except a classic beef pie when i checked it 20 mins ago.

          Had a Chunky beef pie from 7-11. It's quite good!

        • @flaminglemon: just shove a sausage down your throat instead!

        • @fchis: Same! Will get another one before I head home tonight.

        • @flaminglemon:

          I got a steak pie. There were also some $5 chicken ones.

        • @fchis: Went into 7-Eleven this morning. The attendant told me they only keep Beef pies and Sausage rolls on Fridays!

        • @ranagade: I went to the one behind Gloria Jean near southern cross on Collins. They have the Chunky steak but you would better buy them earlier because they are selling fast after my post lol

    • -1
