Where do you enter in the promo code?
On the payment page, about 3/4 down the page.
Tried a few hotels and get "Sorry, your hotel isn't covered by this coupon offer."
Dunno why'd you'd neg. They straight up say that most hotel chains aren't covered by this coupon

Try expanding your search criteria. Most if not all big chain hotels are excluded. I've probably booked two dozen stays using these regular coupons. Cheaptickets is almost always cheaper than all the other booking websites and have provided me credit for loyalty.
For a hotel in Tokyo I booked with agoda and their 10% off it is chaper there. And it's in AUD and no cc fees…

People should really be comparing the 10% off agoda deal and the 12% off Expedia deal to this when searching hotels.
The 16% sounds good but it's in US dollars, has a max saving of $150 per booking and the 16% isn't deducted from the taxes and fees.3xpedia 12% is MasterCard. There is a 10% off for amex too!

People should always look at different sites, and apply all promo codes applicable and then buy from the cheapest.
And recheck each day for more discounts!
I agree, you should compare different sites to get the cheapest hotel deal.
Cheaptickets is a good starting point though. More often than not it's the cheapest, for me anyway.
Make sure you check the hotel directly as well. Some of the price beat guarantees they offer can be used if there is a promo code. I used it for Fairmont Lake Louise last year. They had a 25% price beat off the promo price. 1 Bed apartment overlooking Lake Louise for $300 a night. Saving of over $400 a night!
Have been using cheap tickets for a good 3 or so years now and its invariably the cheapest by a fair margin. Since Expedia bought it however, the gap has narrowed.
