Uber eats Changing Price after Payment

We ordered food last night using a new user but paid with a current user's credit card and used the $15 off code. Despite it saying the $15 less price Uber has charged $15 and refusing to refund.

Has anyone else had this issue?

    I am guessing because it's not really a new user if it's the same credit card. Maybe.

    • I'm pretty sure they'll give you a refund if you call them out on it … but they might also ban you from the service.

  • I phoned and explained and it has been sorted. The new user didn't have enough money so I let them use my card which is connected to my account. I got told a different department handles it despite the same person replied via email and I asked to speak to a supervisor and they sorted it. I was a bit surprised to see they cancelled the code and charged higher though.
