Yesterday I managed to get that Spec XPS15 for $2150 from ebay, then as I was posting on here Dell removed it from ebay…

    • They actually listed this spec on eBay?? I was stalking their eBay page at one point during one of the eBay sales recently to try and get this spec XPS 15 from there… I even emailed them and asked if they would list it and they said no. Good price you got though!

      • Yea, they have it back up again now, its at $3000 though, yesterday it was at $2,699 since they had reduced it themselves and I used 20% off.
Guess I was lucky, I literally purchased @4pm as the deal went live

    • Yup another ripper one yesterday was Dell XPS 15 9550 Signature Edition 15.6" 4K UHD touchscreen i7 6th Gen 6700HQ 32GB memory/1TB SSD for just $2124.15 from Microsoft@eBay. Unfortunately noticed it too late to post yesterday :(

      • I ordered this one. Was looking at the basic XPS 9560, but could not resists

  • 4K laptop screen?! Didnt even realise they existed. Could you see a difference with such a small screen?

    • You can to a degree and it will vary whether it's a 15" or 17" but it's more so about more screen real estate if you work with multiple programs side by side. That said I wouldn't recommend getting a 4K laptop (maybe if you're a pro in the creative industry e.g. photographer etc and you can work plugged in). To me laptops are about portability and a big part of that is battery life. You'll get much better battery life out of a 1080p screen.

  • IMHO wait for deals on Lenovo. example: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/310412. i bought it yesterday. It is very good value for money.

  • Don't forget 8% cashrewards

  • Stacked uni rewards 15% on EXTRA10 and 5% cashrewards a few days ago and bought an xps13

    • Was this a unidays code?

      • Yes that's the one

        • Thanks. I didn't know that worked on ebay. I'll give it a go!

        • @bobkin: sorry to mislead you I used those on the dell store not dell eBay

        • @Argly: No worries, still good to know the others can be stacked on Dell!

        • @Argly: just out of interest, which one did you get?

        • @bobkin: Just the basic i5 model but I assume the codes work for all

  • FYI MS just dropped $500 off the price of the Surface Book with dGPU, it's no deal per se as it's the new standard price but folks might not be aware
