Sony Alpha A7R II Mirrorless Camera $3,038.40 + $12 Shipping via Digitdirect eBay

180
CRACKA20

Appears to be the best price listed on OzBargain so far for the A7R II. Unfortunately won't be able to get this one past the better half but hopefully benefits someone else.

Sony bonus EFTPOS gift card promotion runs 1 June to 31st July 2017 for purchases via authorised dealers only, of which Digidirect seems to be one. T&Cs and further details here.

Based on offer T&Cs eBay purchases may not be eligible for gift card. Thanks Hoobi.

  • sheeet this or a6500..

    i have good aps-c lenses already though sel24f18 and sel1670z :(
will have to re-invest and get FE lenses if i get this.. cant decide

    • A Vexing question. One I contemplate every time these 20% sales appear.

what body are you using now a6000 or a6300?

      • a6000

        • Same…. Full frame is tempting, even more so when the a6500 still sits around $1800.

    • Get the A7Rii, you won't need to upgrade your camera in 5 years.

      • problem is the lenses, expensive investment having already owned aps-c lenses.

zeiss 24-70 FE is quite $$ lol

hoping for another deal 2 months before September since I will be traveling overseas

    • i was in the same position as well but went with A6500 as I have already invested in aps-c lenses and I prefer the size of the camera and lenses compared to full frame.

You can always sell your lenses if you want to move to full frame, or just use them with full frame while you slowly transition to full frame.

  • NO BONUS GIFT CARD FOR EBAY PURCHASE

    • Dont forget $40 cashrewards from ebay 1.3%

    • It really depends on how they issue the tax invoice to you as some companies will issue it as per their normal company invoice and not an ebay invoice.

    • The seller is Digidirect, so why not? Sony probably means some grey imports from overseas or local don't have the chance to claim the EFTPOS card.

    • If Digidirect issue you a tax invoice, then it should be no issue. I had no issues last year with Olympus purchase via eBay (abet different vendor and T&C's).

  • Legend, been keeping an eye out for an a7RII to replace my a7 at the right price. Second hand models on eBay seem to always end up going around 3000 so I finally picked one up thanks to you.

  • Hi OP, unfortunately the $250 gift card offer is not applicable to EBay sales as per sony offer terms and conditions.

Please see the fine print on the offer. I would post the link but cant seem to do this on my phone.

Would have been a great deal if the $250 card was possible.

    • Thanks, I've updated the deal to reflect this. In most cases an invoice would be generated directly from the dealer so a claim may be eligible but it isn't clear.

I'm pretty sure the above posters are wrong and that this will be eligible for the gift card. You are buying from Digidirect. Also another seller that is part of the CRACKA20 group has advertised the giftcard promotion: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252968482084

    • Took the plunge on this yesterday, and can confirm that you are most certainly eligible for the $250 EFTPOS gift card. DigiDirect DO provide a receipt of their own, and I have successfully claimed for my gift card last night. Admin please change the description to reflect accordingly.

Can anyone confirm if the receipt is from ebay or digidirect?

    • As already mentioned in another reply, I took the plunge on this yesterday, and can confirm that you are most certainly eligible for the $250 EFTPOS gift card. • Digidirect will give you a separate tax invoice, with price of item shown as Ebay listed full advertised price (that is without 20% discount).
How I know this? I picked up my lens from Digidirect Melbourne Store.

    • Thanks this is helpful. Just to clarify - does the digidirect invoice indicate the item was purchased from their ebay store?

      • i can upload a copy of the tax invoice, only difference from store purchase tax invoice from my past experience is that, on the Ebay sale, is says "Web Sales"

  • This is good cam.

  • If you bought one can you put In a claim with Sony for the eftpos card and see if it is approved.?

  • I did purchase mine in Dec 16 from Ebay and claimed back the EFTPOS card. Confirmed working here. 2 lenses + 1 body.

  • Bummer. Sold out
