Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (32GB) - $591.96 Delivered (HK) @ Shopping Square on eBay

166
CRACKA20

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge 32GB $591.96 after 20% off with code CRACKA20. Not the latest and greatest, but seems to be pretty good price for a good phone.

Note: Grey import stock.

It states AU warranty, I don't know how that works. I hope it is better than Kogan warranty. I am still waiting for a reply for my S4 warranty enquiry.

Shoppingsquare is dodgy and (profanity) me over last I bought a phone from them. Would not recommend.

    • Did you not get your phone? Warranty claim?

      • +1

As jg86tsv said, they send a mass email out after 5 days of ordering that they couldn't deliver the phone as it was out of stock (smh) but then tried to sell a different version that was inferior, passing it off as the original one. I sent them a message to refund and it took 2 weeks and then a threat of a PayPal dispute for the refund to be made. DO NOT BUY FROM SHOPPING SQUARE. I ignored the warnings and thought I'd try my luck. A complete waste of time. I feel as though these posts aren't genuine and are used by fake accounts that are made to look real.

        • Hmmn. Not very comforting. Let's see what my mileage with them is like.

  • +6

Phone not supplied in a previous deal, had to make a paypal claim to get a refund.

ShoppingSquare should be banned from Ozbargain.

    • Completely agree.

It's not stated if this is international version, so would be careful

    • What do you mean by international version? It's coming from Hong Kong. Not Australian stock.

      • Different Model number will impact on LTE Band support(maybe main chipset as well). Au Stock should be F model

Shopping square sold me the wrong model and never sent it, then refused to refund. 34 days later and a Paypal case got my money back. Beware everyone. :/

    • Hi Lunawuna
Please PM me if you having any problem with your order or refund with Shoppinhgsquare.
      cheers

  • Anybody have any positive experience with Shopping Square?

  • Waiting 5 weeks now for my xiaomi powerbank pro…. hoping its coming this week…..
Just pay with paypal and collect your money back if there are any issues.

    • Hi zakarados
Please PM me your order details, I might able to help
      cheers

  • Just pay with paypal and collect your money back if there are any issues.

Or don't buy anything from them at all.

I told ya'! Like sheep to slaughter, Shoddy(profanity)Square strikes again!

People stop being naive. Of course you'll get your money back via Pyapal. They definitely do this whenever they need a short-term cash injection and really don't care about customers. Feedback like mine and many others is from actual people out here on OzB. As Fred has rightly pointed out above, there's more on product review websites out there. Call out the Rep on this, he's been around on OZB lately. Kick these dishonest and deceitful people from OzB!

  • Extra $20 and get the s7 edge dual sim from the vaya ebay store. At least they state its the exynos processor (the model with all the required bands for Australia).

    • The vaya_shop got pretty bad rating (96.3%), any one experience with them? They may well be the same bunch of people between shopping square!

Do you know if the dual sim model have all the bands?

      • First time buying from them. Hopefully I end with up with the international version which is the SM-G935FD. Not all dualsim models will have all the band. What you should look for is the F in the model code. The D will stand for dual sim.

Its clearly listed in their listing as a exynos processor so I should be able to make a paypal dispute if it isn't.

      • Last Vaya deal, people got the phone, the right version and had a good experience. I'll trust them over any of this now!

  • There are differences in processor energy efficiency between the American and international (and Aussie) models of the phone.

The American models drew the short stick and got the more power hungry SD 820s while international models have Samsung's own Exynos soc

There is also no Band 28 if you end up with the Us model.

    • So international model is better?

      • Yeap… List of all the models

International model (SM-G935FD Duos (Dual-SIM)) sold in SE Asia has dual sim, B28 support and Exynos Processor

If you end up buying the SM-G935V (USA Verizon) that's single SIM, won't have B28 and it'll have a more power hungry SD820.
And it will also come with non-removable Verizon carrier bloatware. (double whammy because Samsung by itself, already is quite bloated and the carrier software is just pure cancer on these devices)

  • Shopping square will always bait and switch. No matter what happens, you'll have a great deal at SS. People will jump on it, partway thru they change the item to a poor model.

People who bought BEFORE the switch will get told out of stock after 2 weeks and get money back.
People who bought AFTER the switch have bought something other than what they expect, usually a crappy US model. The US model can usually be had for less in other places.

Shopping square will NEVER answer ebay msg about which model it is exactly. "I'm not sure, oh I don't know, oh blah blah blah"

However on their own site they will have US & international models listed separately at different prices.

    • I changed my vote to negative today. They keep telling they would find out what model they sent me but it's been too long and I suspect a lot of customers have also asked the same question as I have.

The eBay listing omits key details like network bands and processor type (Snapdragon or Exynos) but their main site has all the details.

Then there's the 10 percent restocking fee, which is "non negotiable" .

Shopping Square so far has been a frustrating experience.

      • I knew Shopping Square from over 15yrs ago when they were Apus computer store in Kensington. They used to be reputable. Since going into Shopping Square they've done nothing but bait & switches. Back in the day USB cables, usb hubs, then HDMI cables when they were new. Now they're in the big game, like many others sadly. Who needs morals?

  • +1

Well Shopping square have confirmed the model is SM-G935F, which is the international model. They stated it would take 5 days for handling and 2-6 days for shipping. Let's see how this goes. Will post update once, I received it or not.

  • Sent me the wrong phone in another deal. Serious issues with seller, should be banned from ozb.

    • Did you send it back?

      • Not yet. Only opened the case yesterday.

Not really that interested in sending it back because it will take ages to get there and shipping will cost a mint. Plus it will give them an excuse to delay refunding, which apparently happens quite often.

        • +1

OK, I received the phone, without hassle. Took about a week for it to arrive by "Toll". Been using for couple of days, no problems on the Optus network.

          • Box was bubble wrapped and put into another box, then into the satchel. Pretty good packaging.
          • Sticker on the box was still intact, indicating it hasn't been opened.
          • Not fake, looked through many youtube videos to pick out fakes.
          • Model is SM-935F as advertised.
          • Came with the original charger, and a 2.1A 5V USB charger with the AU plug, which is nice.

From this experience, ShoppingSquare did alright. I think I have also purchased a micro SD card from them before too.
