  • Cannot add to cart..

We're sorry – the item you selected cannot be added to cart. ..but don't worry you can shop the other parts of the site and find a great bargain.

Hmm, maybe I'm not a new customer.

    • Tried a few checks… Got that after ordering another after placing order, or not using new account. I don't think I want more than 1 ;-)

  • +2

Why would this be so cheap? Suspicious…

    • +5

Prob cos it's a piece of junk. No product link so who knows

    • It's likely the sub-par counterfeit rubbish you can find in those crowded Asian street markets for a dollar.

      • Worth a gamble for 8 bucks

  • +14

    Got any 28degrees jackets?

  • We're sorry – the item you selected cannot be added to cart. dag nammit

    • I just created new account and bought a black medium one, received order approved email.

    • +2

Ah eskylidder - your comment was edited while we were replying!

Just ordered with new account. No problems on phone. Confirmation email received.

But size (XL) was not available in that colour & others after ordered, so being OzBargained (1461 clicks & increasing fast!).

Might give it away to homeless person, as size may be a bit tight (Amazon review said theirs was Chinese size) ;-)

      • +1

@Infedel - you sir are a lovely person, if the size is tight that's exactly what I'll do.

if you have a referral code for an AMEX card please priv msg me as i would love to do something that will benefit you

P.S i wear a medium in Macpac jackets - so ill go large or XL?

        • +3

That's just my approach - often giving away warm clothes & volunteering in poorer communities on my regular travels. I enjoy it.

At this price I'm not being that generous & it doesn't really count if you don't want what you are giving away ;-)

In a village in Myanmar (Burma), I ordered some food that was not that appetising, so gave it away to a woman & child begging outside the cheap restaurant on a cold night. Staff saw me & rewarded my "Buddhist generosity" with another plate for free ;-( It's always better not to be noticed!

Found my MacPac down jacket (just back from Japan trip) - it's a roomy L, I'm probably an XL in other clothes, so expect XL in these will be too snug.

A larger size means you can put on layers under the jacket to be toasty warm. But who knows what the actual size will be when they finally arrive.

    • I just tried (registered a new account) and works fine…

  • Worth buying, or are these just cheap and not worth it?

    Edit: Just bought it.

Your order is estimated to arrive from 09/06/17 to 13/06/17.

  • thank you got one in black color

  • -2

Good price, but are counterfeit clothes allowed on Ozbargain?

    • How do you know these are counterfeit?

      • I mean they are a knock-off of the "32 Degrees" brand.
I'm sure even some people here were fooled into thinking these were "32 Degrees" brand jackets.

The actual brand name is supposedly "Weatherproof", though I cannot see how anybody could trademark a generic term like that. It is intended to deceive.

        Here is the real thing:

        https://www.32degrees.com/products/mens-nano-light-packable-…

        This one I'm not sure:
        https://www.macys.com/shop/product/32-degrees-packable-hoode…

        • +1

Good examples, thank you. I'm pretty sure nobody thinks they are getting branded stuff for 9 bucks.

My wife got the ladies one from the previous sale and the thing is AWESOME for 9 bucks. Dunno how they do it, but really happy that they do.

        • +1

@hashtagbargain: i know how they do it. get rid of stocks to clear rooms for more inventories because it's end of financial year. So instead of the stocks collecting dust and cost money to store them. They just clear them or give them away for good marketing.

Worth the bet $8.48 for a jacket + delivery

  • +1

    What a bargain ;-)
    Price elsewhere *$243
    ozsale.com.au: $8.48
    *$243.00 converted from 180.94 USD

  • By the way, it's safer to pay with paypal

    • Depends, if they send it with tracking and the tracking says "delivered" paypal will not cover your buyer protection if you dont get it. Because AusPost says Delivered to Depot

      • +1

True also. Last round I ordered the $4.50 sweater and it came few days later…

Hope this one will come in next few days too

  • black, olive, grey, green, blue sold out. only orange, maroon, light blue, white/grey left now… and only S,M sizes

  • +1

It wanted me to register on a "paywall" before even tempting me with the product and what might be available. NO DEAL (for me that is)

  • +7

There's none left in fat bastard!

    • +1

Depending on how big / small the XL is, there never were any in fat bastard size 🙅

The largest size (XL) were the first to sell out. Now what does that say about many of us OzBargainers?

Amazon review of their version of this jacket warned it was Chinese XL - 2 size smaller than US sizing. I think I might have trouble doing up the zip…

  • Hi OP, looks like a great deal.
I couldn't figure out how to make this work, made a new account and everything but it still stays $59. Also could only find one colour. Can someone link the rest here please? Cheers!

    • Sorry mate just saw this now, hope you got it sorted and got one in time.

      • All good, I didnt manage to grab one unfortunately but im sure there will be another deal at somepoint!

  • +2

    Reported - Sold out :-(
With 9763 clicks, should be a new standard item in the Ozbargainer's winter wardrobe.

  • Just got this email…

    Hi HashtagBargain,

Unfortunately, we have encountered a stock issue and will be unable to fully complete your order.

The below items are no longer available:

Navy Weatherproof 32 Degrees Packable Down Jacket - $8.48

    Not happy :|

    • What time did you order.

      • +2

One of the first to order… Within an hour of posting I think.

  • +2

    Got the same message

  • I was under the impression this deal was expired, why is it not tagged as expired? Is it still available?

    • It's expired no stock left, mine is awaiting dispatch.

  • +2

    mine arrived today.. thanks op

    • mines coming tomorrow :)

    • How's the quality, any pics? Mines coming tomorrow.

  • I got mine today size M but its big for me. Anyone would like to switch for size S in Melbourne or anyone want to buy. PM me.

  • M arrived, nice little jacket but is way too big for me too. Guess they got lots of returns of these missized jackets

  • +1

Got a S but still too big for me.

  • Ordered a L and it's too big for me. Does anyone in Melbourne with a M or S would like to change with me?

  • +1

The Amazon review suggested their (fake) jackets were 2 sizes too small, so bought an XL… now we know these are probably 2 sizes too big. XL was first size to sell out. There will be a lot of big jackets on Ozbargainers this winter.

I never expected too much from these cheap jackets & was just going to wear around the house to keep warm. Oh well, now just call me Michelin Man ;-)

Can return for refund (would likely be no exchange stock except oversized returns), but a lot of hassle.

Would be handy for homeless people - can always pad out with other clothes or newspapers to keep warm. So consider passing your too big jacket on to someone who may have a cold winter ahead. Just a thought, especially at the price we paid.

    • Arrived in Brissie. Impressive for the price delivered. Wore it in the garden @7am & was warm.

Yes, a bit big. But draw string waist pulled it in. Great for wearing layers underneath.

Very happy with deal & keeping jacket 😀

  • +1

way to big!!!! Got a M but more of a XL. Ripped off!!!

  • +1

What is their refund policy? Do we need to pay for the return postage ?

    • +1

most likely yes! Which will cost more than your purchase price.

  • +2

The quality is excellent and highly doubt it is fake just from the finishing etc. I think these are most likely Factory seconds which may have had the sizing tag sewed on wrongly hence why everyone is complaining about the fitting. I bought XL and it is a bit big, but I dont mind it actually and comfortable with layered clothing underneath. Awesome bargain, OP!

  • Came on here to swap a M for S. but looks like everyone else is doing the same.
    Stupid sizes

  • +1

Got the XL and it fits me perfectly as I normally wear XXL. Thanks OP

Ps, the storage bag is broken on my first attempt to store the jacket.

  • +1

My size S arrived and it's too big for me too..
overall can't complain much for $8.50 jacket delivered.. will just wear it for gardening and backup layer in car

  • Mine arrived yesterday.

I think it's an old or rejected stock as the plastic bag looks kinda yellowish and also there are cosmetic defects on the elastic string inside.

  • Received it today, size M. Seems the right size for me, not too big. But it's very thin and light though. Hopefully warm enough for this winter.

  • The quality is amazing! How can they do this?

    • Best not to ask…
Cheap clothes come at a price - for someone else :-(
