  Just speaking for Melbourne, but HEAPS of vendors (owner managed) have left Groupon in the past 12-18mths in the 'Food and Drink' section. Variety is IMO terrible.

  There were at least 7-8 in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne who do not use Groupon any longer. I'd hazard a guess it's similar in other areas of Melbourne. Now it's just a series of offers like overpriced crappy Movenpick Chains, Bubble Cup Stores and Shisha lounges. Beyond the CBD there's little else.

    The "View on map" function is badly broken. I get a handful of hits using that. When I go through the individual ads, there's at least a dozen places close to me.

      True! The Map function has been a bit of a joke for a while now and is inaccurate, so yes, there are a few more if you search by suburb but all in all the range has dropped a fair bit in recent times. Cheers.

    That's because it's unsustainable for the vendors. Offering a heavily discounted price and giving Groupon a 35% cut on top of that would suck you dry.

    They never accepted discounts, a common exception to the discount code, maybe only once i've seen them not excluded.
