The transactions will be cancelled but as a good will gesture, they are offering a gift card valued at $14.70. Please note that if you have placed multiple orders you will only be entitled to the one gift card valued at $14.70.

This is a good outcome for those of us who did buy early this morning. Thanks to JB Hi-Fi for the gesture of a gift card. Well done guys… and please, go easy on whoever made the mistake. They've made everyone's long weekend just that little bit better. Cheers!

EDIT 4 (one week later): By now most who got in on this deal will have received not only one gift card from JB Hi-Fi but two gift cards. This was an added "bonus" but it meant you had to act fast. It allowed you to get a yearly membership to Playstation Plus for only $19.57!!! Two days later and JB Hi-Fi were cancelling these second cards. Several people have now said their second cards are no longer working. Anyway, it was a fun ride. Hope it worked out well for you.

      Yep, the website is in meltdown, and it looks like they've taken down the 12 month PS+ Subscription.

      Possibly try again later/tomorrow or just buy one in-store. You've got until the 16th of June to get it for that price.

    Sorry that the deal didn't exactly go to plan.

    But, at least JB were relatively prompt in issuing refunds, along with a $14.70 gift voucher (they actually sent me 2 of them by mistake so I was quick to head in-store and use them)… should I feel guilty?

    It looks like they've removed the 12 month subscription from the website. Hopefully those who bought one in the early hours will still be able to pick one up in store with the $14.70 voucher for $34.28 (I know, it's a cent more).

    If you haven't received any emails regarding your order, send the customer service team a message through the website. They responded to my query within 30 minutes.

    I guess another cumbersome work around is to use the code JB sent us, buy a $50 PSN card from them, go over to Sony PS Store, buy the 12 month PSN as they also have it for $48.95.

        After all the shenanigans, I'm not sure I can be stuffed with PS Plus now - hadn't really considered it before the low price.

        Have more than enough games I'll never play already and may just stick with XBox Live Gold. One membership probably enough. Will sleep on it!

    Good effort by JB to honour their mistake. I just got Horizon Zero Dawn for $24 using the $14 gift card. I might also buy a 12 month PS+ sub for $34 when they are back in stock.

    I had a PS+ account from USA, does anyone know if i join using an Aus PS+ membership i can still play the free games that were downloaded on the USA account?

      You must have an active PS+ sub for the region your free games are from to be able to access them i.e you'd need to keep your US PS+ sub active or you won't be able to play those games.

          The US PS store had $10 off starting today until the 17th of June making it US$49.99 . It's not much but it's a saving at least unless you normally pick it up cheaper through other avenues.

    Anyone had issues with their gift cards not working? I put it in, lists the balance of $14.70, when i go to pay I get the error " Authorisation failed with message (Invalid Card and Balance Status)"

      I'm guessing JB have just said enough is enough. They tried to do the best by their customers, stuffed up and have now pulled the plug completely.

    I only attempted one purchase, so got one gift card.

    Downloaded the gift card the other day and it said $14.70 credit, today I tried to use it and it says $0 value.

    I wonder if they have cancelled every gift card now.

    Shame I didn't get to use mine and wasn't one of the ones who bought multiple.

    Update-
    Mine worked with the discount. So I paid 49-14=34. The second voucher did not work as it said not authorised. Might try the second voucher again when shopping at jb next time, if it doesn't work I am not complaining. Still very happy with the whole deal.

        Both of mine were showing the balance but were not working together. I thought using 2 gift cards were the problem. I tried with 1 and it worked. Anyways it's still a good bargain

      I'm not sure what you mean? The gift cards were sent out last Friday 9 June. I think most people got two and those second cards have now been cancelled. Should hopefully leave you with one working card worth $14.70.

        The $34.27 from originally paying for the 12 months of ps plus. Which they said they would cancel, refund us and give us a $14.70 voucher.

        Edit: The transaction is not listed anymore on my paypal but the amount is taken out on my bank account.

          Now I understand. I also paid by PayPal but my bank never released the funds to PayPal as JB Hi-Fi never confirmed the sale. Are you sure it's still not listed as pending on your bank account? My PayPal is linked to my credit card. I'm guessing yours is linked to a debit card or your bank account?
