HP Spectre X360 (i7 8GB 512GB SSD 13.3 FHD Touch WL-AC) $1279.20 Delivered @ Warehouse1 eBay

430
CRACKA20

suggested by @scrimshaw.

This looks too good to be true deal as the store has no description, no warranty, no tech specs nothing about the product but has a good rep.

I would also love to hear your guys experience with warehouse_1_online as reading reviews of the store on productreview.com is making me fly away from buying something this expensive

Looks pretty good. I recommend changing the format of the title so it reads "HP Spectre X360 (i7 8GB 512GB SSD 13.3 FHD Touch WL-AC) $1279.20 @ Warehouse1 E-Bay" and including the CRACKA20 in the space for coupon codes, adding 11/06/2017 for expiry and moving the "suggested by scrimshaw" into the deal description.
Other than that it looks like a decent deal. Thanks for contributing :)

    • Discreet graphics? Can the ram be increased?

      • Intel® HD Graphics 520

      • RAM should be soldered onboard so cannot be upgraded.

    • Thank you for your suggestions. I would love get these confirmation from the seller as I could not see them, if they are there please guide me. Because reading reviews of the store on productreview.com is making me fly away from buying something this expensive.

      • The confirmation is in the model number ;) however ozzbarginer below found the actual store listing, and though they don't exactly have the best reputation it looks like they have a physical store and are a reasonably well known shop so you should be pretty safe :)

    • 3 x USB 3.0 Ports

Not only you are new in here but also your user was created an hour ago.

Your online reviews would say otherwise ;)

    • Most/All of the 5 star reviews seem obviously fake as well. All the reviews followed a pattern of stating specific dates and days of order and delivery that I rarely see on other reviews.

This is happening more and more on this forum recently. This is last year's model and no one has pointed that out yet. Like Dell HP bring major updates and don't change the name of the laptop. HP has updated this model twice since this version was released last year (Nov and May). The newer version have the edge to edge screen that has way better specs.

I'm not saying this isn't a good deal. Just buyer beware.

    • Thats definately the last year version if you lookup the HP part number, it points to HP Spectre x360 13-4111tu. Not sure why they don't just post the specs on the ebay description.

Read some whirlpool reviews - store reputation stopped me from even consider

  • I own i7 256SSD model 4102TU of HP Spectre X360.Its large track pad is not good as some other similar 2 in 1 laptops. It is stylish and powerful and does not heat up quickly. It metal hinges become little loose after one year of regular use. Bottum line is i would prefer lenovo to HP.

  • I have one of these. The large track pad is extremely hard to use.
Also look at the cracked screen issues on forums about this laptop.
The screen on this laptop is more fragile than rice paper. I had my screen shut and put it on my bed and the screen cracked. Repair price from HP was approx $800.

    • My son has had this model for about 18 months now (it's the skylake model). His experience has been good, and he doesn't look after stuff.
I would also point out its battery life is Impressive for a windows laptop, only an hour or two short of that of a MacBook Air, but with a better, higher res screen.

The trackpad is OK, not as good as a Mac trackpad, but not bad compared with some others I have tried, including other HPs.

I also have another HP, an 820 G2 as my work machine with a SIM card. I regard the Spectre as a much better machine, and very good value at this price.

As for whether or not you should buy from Wireless1, I have only bought peripherals from them, such as a mouse. They were delivered promptly so no complaints and you can't ask for any more than that. It will be interesting though if they actually deliver spectres to people at this price, or back out.

  • I have a HP Spectre and it is has been going well for the last 2 years; no issues with the screen and I have dropped it a couple of times onto the floor. My only quibble is that it does run a tad hot in Summer; but, apart from that, it is a pretty good laptop. Like everything you need to look around and see what is available before you jump.

  • Me and a bunch of OZBer's purchased tablets from them last year (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/263103), didn't experience or hear of any customer service issues and they were responsive to messages on OZB.

    Warehouse1 is an online drop-shipper

Their office in Melbourne is just a front "rent-a-space" staffed by a clueless receptionist

Would stay away for warranty reasons

Guys avoid Warehouse1 and Itmadness, they are illegally using the method bait and swap and you will get a message in a weeks time and they will tell you they no longer stock this item and will then offer a refund over 7 days, or to swap to another laptop at the same price.

They dont follow the consumer law in anyway shape or form.

    honestly avoid at all costs.

  • To give some guidance, I can confirm that I have this very laptop and it is a KILLER laptop - the best one I've ever had which runs Windows OS

Cant comment about the seller though so buyer purchases at their own risk

  • well i can only comment about direct deals with W 1 , no connection at all, i was bit concerned reading product review etc but all great my items were delivered in less than a week np,

I just had to log in given the carping whining negatives that seem to plague this outlet.

I wrote some time ago how my dealings were smooth with Warehouse1 once I found them. I read some negatives and posted a year or so ago how I had a great experience. It was a HP server and cheap as could be. What do some lazy idiot people think they are doing posting negative stuff here. Sure some folks had delays with some items delivered and other stuff was not in stock. Guess what? it happens.

This is a bare bones store and I was happy to jump in a cab and go and pick my item up. It is just crap to say there was a clueless receptionist. There were knowledgeable friendly guys there and they gave me some great tips. They wanted to email the reciept and I was a bit suspicious but it came through ok.

I thought OB was supposed to support suppliers who source out cheap and good gear. If so then you have to meet them half way and be a little tolerant. Sure, buyer beware but be not clueless. This is a good service from my own dealing and I got off my bum and went in to make sure I got the product as I paid.

Sometimes I think that this country deserves a lazy, self aggrandising, graft ridden greedy government. Does anybody remember the Eureka Stockade?

Oh and I have no association with the supplier apart from a good experience buying off helpful guys.

PS I went ahead with purchase because lots of the negative comments seemed so stupid that they may have been planted by unhappy competitors. Others seemed to be baby keyboard warriors who came on for a free kick. I would buy off these guys again and again as I appreciate a 'no frills' low margin operation in our community.

  • Have this exact model paid $1798 in January love it. That 512GB PCIe SSD does wonders.

  • Out of stock. Doh!!!
