  • Still a crap printer at $19, doesn't even have wireless printing. Good for grandma that still prints her bank statements - that's about it.

This model is better at only $55

    • I bought the 5760 for $55 a couple of months ago and it's a great printer. Auto double sided printing is great, the picture quality is good. I'm very very happy with it.

    • Not available.

    • Utter nonsense. Great printer which does the job more than good. Using it since years with good quality. The price is a complete steal. Get 4 of those and you are well suited for any office task, including enough ink for a year probably (or even more).

    • half agree with this.
IMO printer should have at least wireless printing.
i know not everyone needs it but still… its handy to have.

Although no longer available online, the HP2130 from Harvey Normans is still available for $18 instore.

Bought it recently and had compared it to the Canon here. Reviews seemed to complain more about the Canon than the HP given how it is a cheap crappy printer.
Plus I saved the old man $1. Probably should have looked at what consumables cost, but it was only ever going to be used for scanning and occasional print.

      • Depends on store obviously.
As stated, no longer available online
        Plenty in Cairns =P

I'm not sure why everyone is whinging. The printer does the job admirably for $19.

Saved my butt at the last minute (figure of speech, more like the night before) when I needed to print 8 copies of my submission for a VCAT case! Best $19 I ever spent on a printer (and I won the case too). :D

  • if anyone buys one of these dont forget you can get those calidad ink refillers.
i bought the pack and now i just buy really cheap ink off ebay.
its also handy to buy a surgical syringe to help refill the cartridges. makes it 100 times easier than using the crap you get with the Calidad pack.
you could probably do it without the calidad pack if you check youtube how to refill ink, but incase you want all the basic utilities on how to do it then i would get the Calidad pack as it is great for beginners.

beats spending $30+ for the ink everytime.

$30 for ink each time??…. The printer with the ink is always for sale for $18 I have gone through 3 of these printers so far.

      • I dunno how much the ink is tbh.
But I know that is usually how it goes.
You know the world is a messed up place when you're better off throwing out a perfectly good printer, just to buy a new one coz ink is too expensive

Pretty sure I saw them stacked up at Big W for the same price other night but didn't much notice since its a Pixma. Online store is showing as sold out so cannot confirm.
