MEL Return London Via Royal Brunei Airlines $903 (October/November) @ IWTF

270

Hi all,

Saw this deal tonight and thought it was a great price for a return flight to London for October/November 2017.
Please hunt around more for specific dates, but seems to be quite a few to on offer, especially in October. See here for example Oct 4-16th

Despite a no alcohol policy, Royal Brunei have decent reviews and $1 saved is a $1 gained IMO.
For example, Qantas offer a flight at the same time (albeit direct) for $1527. Most other options are between 1.6k and 1.7k,

Remember to take screenshots and visit Flight Centre to book this at a bricks and mortar seller through their price beat guarantee - price will be $902 Plenty to do at this time of year including watching some EPL games and the weather is a balmy 13 degrees!

Hope this helps someone out there.

Flew Royal Brunei to London in October last year and a great airline. While no grog served on board you are welcome to take some duty free on board and consume it. They will supply ice and mixers. What you open cannot be taken through transit in Brunei. We took a bottle of red wine to have with our lunch and a small bottle of whiskey for an after dinner drink. If you wish to take something for the next leg it must be in a tamper proof bag (around 50 cents at the duty free shops) and remained sealed as you transit Brunei. Great planes and plenty of leg room. One of the most comfortable airlines I have ever flown on. Would definitely recommend this flight.

    • New 787s def a plus they used to have old 777s

Only downside is the two stopovers but for the price id be willing to put up with anything. I'll sleep on the floor for that price.

  • Great service, love dreamliner and lighting system. Very well maintained lavatories with space saving opening doors. May have lots of vacant seats for you to spread out. I enjoy getting out and stretching legs at both stopovers.

The Qantas flight isn't direct - you can't fly direct from Melbourne to London ;)

  • I flew to dubai for $750 return with RB in early May even managed to score a business upgrade for $400 on the final leg from Brunei to Melb after lodging a low end bid a couple of weeks before we were due to depart. Can't fault them on anything. I even ordered cereal in biz and they didnt have it on the menu but still obliged.
