Dealt with this recently. Basically after 12 months, that's all the warranty you get. Had a LG Nexus 5X that bootlooped at 12 months and 11 days. They said that because it was over the year, they won't honour the warranty. Even though, you should be covered under Australian Consumer Law. They were annoying and difficult to deal with and not helpful at all. Will not deal with again.

Beware of buying Looping Garbage from overseas. AT least make sure you get an extended warrenty with it so it is a bit less painful when it dies on you. Best to get local stock if you are desperate to buy LG although LG service is woeful.

Nothing against you op but too many of us have been burnt by LG bootloop issues and poor service.
These comments are, unfortunately, completely legitimate. I bought a G4 back in its golden day completely ignorant of the bootlop issue, and just like clockwork, it bootlooped and bricked at the 12-month mark. That is why it is a significant risk to buy LG grey import and why LG is now colloquially known as 'Looping Guaranteed'.
the failure rate of LG previous products has been high so risk buying without warranty.

it's not a company you want to deal with. The money back warranty is a joke. They ripped my box and claim it's not in resellable condition. Contacted them over the phone and no action. Complained to the management and no reply.
